Course Start Dates
About the Course
The Glass Fusing Evening Classes are designed to give total beginners an introduction to a new skill, and allow more time to create a larger piece of work. At the end of the 3 sessions, you will have created a glass bowl, wall hanging or large wave (approx 30cm x 30cm). The block of evening classes run on 3 consecutive Wednesdays, 6.30 - 8.30.
You'll start the first class by creating a design - you can bring your own, or we can provide one. You'll learn how to cut the glass & then build up your design which is then fired overnight after your last class.. You will be able to collect your design the next day, or we can arrange to post it to you (you just need to cover the cost of the postage).
The fused glass classes are kept small, to make sure everyone can have the right level of support. You don't need to bring any materials, as everything required to create your piece of work is provided. The only thing you need to wear are closed shoes (e.g. no sandals). As it's a working studio, the temperature can be cool, and it may be an idea to bring an old fleece or hoody. Lastly - the tuition is relaxed, and I try to ensure we have some fun while you're learning a new skill.
