Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

X

Description

Beginners Fused Glass workshops at the Creative Chameleon Studio in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. This workshop is ideal for those who fancy a relaxing and peaceful day of creativity. It is a brilliant workshop which allows participants to be introduced to the wonderful world of glass fusing. The techniques used are easy to pick up and you will create a range of beautiful glass items that can be treasured or given away as special gifts. During the workshop you will make a set of dichroic glass jewellery combining two pieces of jewellery - pendant, brooch, ring, earrings, cuff links, you decide. You will hand-decoupage a jewellery box to keep your beautiful sparkly jewels in! On the workshop you will learn how to score and cut glass to make a hanging star and you will also create a coaster and a slump dish! I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters, couples and family and friends who wish to spend some quality time together. Lots of participants come on their own and enjoying meeting friendly, new people. The workshops are run from the light and airy Creative Chameleon studio in Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighbouring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley. The Calder Valley is a great place to visit or make a weekend of it if you are travelling far. Hebden Bridge is a quirky town filled with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is well known for its exciting art, craft and alternative music scene. It is also a great place if you enjoy nature, walking and exploring the countryside. I am a fully qualified Art and Design teacher who has taught GCSE and A Level Art for the past 15 years. I have been running art and craft workshops for adults for 6 years. Private group workshops are all available on request, if you have a group of 3-5 people. I have studio space available for private workshops or I can travel to a venue of your choice.
