Description
Fused glass circles and plates – AM (9.30am – 1.30pm) - £95 per person. Crafts in the Valley offers a range of fused glass workshops at the Crafts in the Valley studio in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. In this fused glass workshop you will firstly learn how to cut a circle out of glass. You will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of materials and techniques to decorate your glass circles. In the studio you will have access to an exciting range of top quality fused glass materials and equipment; coloured frit powders, enamel paints, bubble powder, metal for entrapment, jewels, stringers, crushed dichroic glass, stencils and much more! In this workshop you can opt to decorate your glasswork with enamel paints to create multi-layered effects. This is a great technique allowing you to paint on glass, it works well for creating landscape designs, and adding fine detail to your glasswork. Included in the workshop price is a beautifully handmade wooden stand (Oak or Yew). As an extra treat you will also make a set of dichroic glass jewellery. Two pieces of jewellery; you can choose to make pendants, earrings, brooches, key rings, cufflinks or rings. This workshop is ideal for those who fancy a creative experience where you will be introduced to the wonderful world of fused glass. This workshop is suitable for beginners and for guests who have attended my other fused glass workshops and want to experiment further with new materials and techniques. I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters, couples, families and friends who wish to spend some quality creative time together. Lots of participants come on their own and enjoying meeting friendly, new people. The workshops are run from the light and airy Crafts in the Valley studio in Cragg Vale, Mytholmroyd, the neighbouring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley. The Calder Valley is a great place to visit or make a weekend of it if you are travelling far. Hebden Bridge is a quirky town filled with independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. It is well known for its exciting art, craft and alternative music scene. It is also a great place if you enjoy nature, walking and exploring the countryside.
