Lantern Making with Fused Glass

Description

Would you like to make something similar to the lantern in photos? At this Workshop I will show you how! NO GLASS CUTTING IS REQUIRED. Come and join me to make a beautiful piece that will look wonderful either in your home or your garden. You can choose to illuminate it with either a candle or electric tea light and it is suitable for use outdoors. If you are unable to attend the advertised dates, please get in touch and mutually convenient dates can usually be arranged. Finished pieces can be collected or packaged & posted for £5, this can be arranged on your course day.

What's included in the price?

Includes lantern 180mm x 96mm x 96mm. Overall height: 260mm You will be given 3 panels of glass, and all the materials you need to decorate your lantern. Please note that candles and tea lights are not included in the course cost.

Wendy Bradberry has been teaching and passing on her enthusiasm and skills in Fused Glass for several years. Wendy has now opened her new Studio. Situated in a tranquil setting on the banks of the River Tamar, with the sounds of the countryside all around, it is a perfect setting for inspiring creativity. She is now able to offer full-day Workshops at the Studio at a date convenient to you. Wendy’s work has been sold in many Cornish Galleries and she holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Glass.

"The glass course was a 50th birthday present for my wife and we loved it. The workshop is in a fabulous setting looking over the river, has plenty of space and all the materials necessary. Wendy was fab, with some great ideas and examples of previous work from which to gain inspiration. We made glass candle curves which Wendy was happy to arrange delivery upon completion. It was an extremely cold day, but Wendy provided plenty of hot drinks and biscuits to keep us going. All in all a great morning, thoroughly recommend it. "

"My daughter and I did a half-day lantern-making workshop with Wendy and had a real blast. I've done this workshop before and was thrilled to have another go to try and improve my technique. It was my daughter's first try at fused glass work but as an illustrator she had a grand idea and pulled it off under Wendy's guidance and tuition. Wendy is always so patient and helpful which results in lovely finished pieces for everyone. The studio is in such a wonderful setting, you can't fail to feel 'restored' after a visit and the fact that you come away with something you've made yourself (even though you wait for a couple of weeks for it to be fired - that helps build the excitement!) just adds to your sense of well-being and achievement. I can't recommend Wendy's workshops highly enough - they are a tonic for the soul!"
