Description

Come and join me for an enamelling workshop from my studio in the beautiful Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, and experience the ancient craft of enamelling on copper. Make your own kiln fired enamelled creations, these may include pendants, earrings, brooches, cufflinks, key rings, plaques and pictures all taken home that same day. With step-by-step guidance and tuition I will demonstrate each stage as you progress, and offer one-to-one guidance where appropriate. All workshops are suitable for complete beginners or those that would like to further their experience. I keep my workshop size to a maximum of 6 students so I can give everyone plenty of my time. Full Day: 10am to 4pm £75 per person Materials are approximately an extra £15 per person paid on the day. Enamelling is thought to go back some 3500 years and although now done with modern equipment, these wonderful processes can be incredibly addictive and even with just a small amount of time you will be amazed at what you can achieve. For those of you returning to do more with me you may want to come with a project in mind, or simply want to try new techniques. You are welcome to discuss this with me when booking. I have set workshop dates, but I am also happy to book bespoke dates to suit individuals or groups. For further information please contact me via the 'message the tutor' button.

Maker

Over the past 14 years I have explored enamelling through experimentation. After first being introduced to it by my mum, who packed me off to Nottinghamshire with a kiln and a box of enamel powders. I then became mainly self taught through embracing the freedom of the kiln. I’ve expanded on that first box of enamel powders, and now bring in many techniques to my pieces and my teaching.
