Over the past 14 years I have explored enamelling through experimentation. After first being introduced to it by my mum, who packed me off to Nottinghamshire with a kiln and a box of enamel powders. I then became mainly self taught through embracing the freedom of the kiln.
I’ve expanded on that first box of enamel powders, and now bring in many techniques to my pieces and my teaching.
"A brilliant course, I really enjoyed it. Expert advice and Katie was very patient with us. Full safety measures taken, what an excellent day!
4 hour drive home, but I smiled all the way!"
"4 best friends, all first timers at enamelling, came together as a birthday half day with Katie. We had a super time and each made different enamelled pieces with Katie’s tuition and support. I would recommend this workshop wholeheartedly, and if we get the chance we are going to do the full day next time. The three hours absolutely flew by; Katie is a patient and encouraging teacher…if you want to try something new with take home items, just go for it…money well spent."
"I had a fabulous time on this course! Katie is a great teacher and demonstrated the basics really clearly. It was great to get 'hands on' with enamelling so quickly and to design and make pieces throughout the day. I learned a lot and will definitely want to do more. "
"I had a wonderful day enamelling under Katie's expert tuition. She is incredibly encouraging and supportive, which made the craft accessible and enjoyable. I loved that we were taught a range of techniques to use and the freedom to create what we wanted from a broad range of options."
