Stained Glass Leaded Panel in New Romney, Kent
Description
Welcome! Teach Me are delighted to invite you to a unique and memorable day of stained glass artistry. With extensive experience in this timeless craft, the team are passionate about sharing the rich tradition of glass art, using techniques perfected over centuries. Learning the art of leaded stained glass is a rewarding experience that allows you to transform pieces of coloured glass into stunning, light-filled creations. It connects you to a craft steeped in history while giving you the chance to create something lasting and meaningful. Over the course of this intensive one-day workshop, you will encounter every stage of traditional stained glass making, including cutting glass, stretching and cutting lead, soldering, cementing, and black leading. Although achievable for all abilities, it is a demanding day with plenty to learn and put into practice. A wide range of patterns are available, from beginner-friendly designs for complete novices to more intricate templates that will challenge those with prior experience. Whichever you choose, the final outcome never fails to delight when you hold your piece up to the light for the first time and see your creation come alive. Because glass is best cut while standing, participants should expect to be on their feet for parts of the day. If you have any difficulty using your hands, please call us before booking so we can discuss the best way to support you. With only four participants per class, the atmosphere is supportive and friendly, giving everyone space to focus, ask questions, and immerse themselves in the craft. Whether you’re looking to try something new, refresh your skills, or make something truly personal, this workshop promises a memorable and highly rewarding experience.
