This calming half-day workshop invites you to explore botanical painting on natural wood under the guidance of guest artist Kerry Munn. You will spend the morning learning how to build soft layers of colour, develop gentle texture and add delicate details that bring spring flowers to life. Kerry will demonstrate each stage clearly, helping you create a floral composition inspired by blooms such as daisies, alliums, agapanthus and sunflowers, with the option to include bees and butterflies for a finishing touch. The atmosphere is friendly and unhurried, making it a comfortable experience for complete beginners as well as those who have painted before. With small group sizes, there is plenty of time for individual help, quiet concentration and relaxed conversation. Many participants enjoy the opportunity to take a break from everyday busyness and immerse themselves in a peaceful creative activity among like-minded people.

Your wooden plaque, paints, brushes and any additional materials will be ready when you arrive, so you can simply settle in and enjoy the process. Kerry will offer clear guidance throughout, sharing her techniques for painting on natural surfaces and creating fine botanical detail. Unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits are available to keep you comfortable as you work. By the end of the workshop, you will have your own completed floral plaque to take home, ready to display or gift.

Day/evening courses appeal to local people - the day long workshops attract visitors from far and wide.
