Our three hour workshop will enable you to learn and practice the skill of glass bottle cutting.
We will demonstrate our tried and tested glass cutting and sanding method and you can expect to make at least two or three items of your choice during the workshop.
Each workshop is limited to 6 participants to ensure that we can provide you with maximum attention and support whilst you cut and sand your own glass bottle drinking tumbler, storm lantern top and/or egg cups. The choice is yours!
We will provide all of the equipment needed for the workshop and will also send you home with a uniquely designed storm lantern base and an eco-friendly jute gift bag to go with the items you have made free of charge.
The aim of this course is to have fun learning a new skill in a relaxed and supportive environment.
We hope that this new skill will enable you to continue this craft in your own home.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

I had a lovely afternoon cutting bottles under Janet and Claire's brilliant tuition, they were very patient with me!
There were a lot of bottles to choose from in different colours and we made a variety of different items including a storm lantern.
Response from Fancy Tat:Hello Sue,
Booked this as surprise for my best friends birthday. Ended up only being the two of us so was fortunate enough to have exclusive help from Janet and Claire who were brilliant all the way through. Both very kind and helpful with anything you needed assistance with. We both walked away smiling and a new skill to play with. Would totally recommend to anyone who wants to learn something new and interesting.
We both left with beautiful pieces which can easily be given as thoughtful gifts. Who doesn’t love anything hand made. Would definitely attend more classes in the future.
Thank you Claire and Janet.
Response from Fancy Tat:Hello Laura,
A lovely afternoon spent on this course with my friend and brother in law, we had a fantastic time and made 5 pieces during the 3 hours including a storm lantern. Claire and Janet supplied us with a great choice of different bottles that we could select for our projects. It was set at the right pace and was a craft that I could continue with at home with only a few tools.
Spent a most enjoyable afternoon learning how to cut bottles into tumblers, make a storm lantern and vases. Claire and Janet are so helpful and informative. There was plenty of tea and biscuits and the small group meant we all got individual attention. This was just what I wanted to learn to incorporate even more recycled makes into my own workshops, highly recommend.
Had a really enjoyable Sunday afternoon on this course. Very clear instruction, plenty of equipment and tea and biscuits along the way.
We made vases, tumblers, branded glasses and some smaller pots I'll use in my bathroom. They also provide the base to make a storm lamp for the garden.
We opted to buy the glass cutting equipment so we can practise at home. If you do this they supply at a discounted rate from what you would get at traditional retail.
Recommended to all!!
