We are now resuming classes, but on a reduced schedule and with much caution! We feel that we can hold classes with a maximum of two or three people so long as all of the personal protection precautions are observed - for instance, masks should be worn at all times and preferably gloves also - we’ve been having problems obtaining nitrile gloves just lately so it would be good if you could provide your own but do make sure they are snug fitting to keep your dexterity. Hand sanitizer would need to be applied regularly and you would be allocated a hand towel. We will keep windows open to maintain a flow of fresh air. We would still provide lunch, however it will most likely be sandwiches and would be brought to you instead of everyone getting round our kitchen table in the way we would normally do things. On the class you will be allocated a toolset that will have been sanitized beforehand and there will be other precautions that we haven’t thought of yet.
The leaded light / stained glass window course is aimed at beginners and those who have had some experience and wish to improve. Numbers are limited to four people per course to maintain good quality teaching. If after the course you decide to take it up as a hobby, get the equipment, start a project and get stuck with something, you are always welcome to visit the workshop to work your ideas through.

This course is definitely good value for money.
I was a complete novice when I started this course but I learned so much as Paul is an excellent instructor, he explained each step of the process in making my stained glass panel and was so patient and encouraging.
He also taught us a lot about stained glass which I have always admired but didn’t realise what went in to making it.
Thank you to Natalie for the lovely lunches we had and to Gracie for sharing her mum and dad with us and being such a good girl.
I came away with a panel that I really love and which now hangs in my kitchen window and looks lovely especially when the sun shines through it and with all the information on how to carry on with this new skill.
I would heartily recommend this course to anyone. Even if you have never attempted glass cutting before, Paul explained the process very well, was patient and gave really positive feedback. I really enjoyed learning a new skill, and am very proud of the panel I made, it has attracted many favourable comments not least from my children who are amazed I actually made it!
Thank you also to Natalie for the lovely lunch provided each day, and to Grace for keeping us entertained.
We look forward to going back to do the glass fusing course in the spring. Thanks to you both, I had an enjoyable couple of days.
I would highly recommend this course for anyone who is interested in learning more about stained glass. Paul is a wonderful, patient tutor who explains concepts really well - we had a relaxed 2 days making the panel and enjoyed every bit of it! Additionally, the environment was lovely and the coffee/tea flowed in abundance. Paul and Natalie also were really attentive of dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free) and made sure we were well looked after.
If you are a beginner who is hesitating whether or not to book this course, I would recommend you to go for it! You will not regret it!
I had a great time doing this two day course in learning all the techniques needed to make a stained glass window. Paul was very knowledgeable and great at guiding me through the processes. I found a new hobby that I enjoy because of him :) It was lovely to do this course and also meet his lovely family. This course is well worth it!
Paul said the course should be fun and relaxing and it was. Over the two days I learnt stained glass techniques to produce a lovely piece of art. He provided excellent tuition and advised of the best places to obtain the necessary tools and materials to continue with the craft. I was impressed with Paul's willingness to demonstrate other glass working techniques when asked (especially Tiffany); nothing was too much trouble.
Plenty of tea was supplied and lovely lunches in a friendly family environment.
I look forward to returning again to learn more about stained glass or glass fusion.
Really great 2 day course. Professional excellent tuition!!!!
Welcoming and open hosts.
I highly recommend this course.
Sorry I have not got back to you before now as we have just arrived home at lunch time today and during our road trip through the EU there was very little WiFi available.
Well where do I start, firstly what a fantastic course I had with you. You meticulously went through all aspects regarding stain glass and gave me the opportunity to learn from the master; learning about lead work, soldering, using a glass grinding machine and what the process was to cement and black lead my work. I must say that anyone who is planning to go on a stain glass course would fully enjoy and learn all that's need from Paul. Throughout the two days the tea and coffee flowed and a good lunch was provided. I am now looking forward to booking two more courses, thanks.
What a fascinating course! Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 full days, and learned so much! Wonderful hosts, plenty of tea and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Cant wait for the next one ☺
A fantastic course, I had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Paul & Natalie are great tutors and make you feel at ease and encourage you throughout the whole process, even the scary soldering bit! It was lovely to have a relaxed atmosphere and a small group (there were two of us) so there was plenty of help available. Plenty of tea and a lovely lunch and an amazing setting ( we did manage to see a couple of hares too). Thoroughly recommended!
Response from North Norfolk Stained Glass:Hi Jo,
A fabulous two day course hosted by stained glass artists Paul and Natalie.
I attended with my friend and there was just the two of us so we were lucky to have the full attention of tutor Paul who was incredibly patient and encouraging. He is passionate about his work which was evident in the way he taught us.
He and Natalie were very friendly and welcomed us into their home providing endless mugs of tea and a tasty lunch! At the end of the weekend we were both thrilled to have produced a lovely panel of stained glass. We are now both really keen to continue to make stained glass and have already been recommending the course to friends.
