"Paul was very thorough and knowledgeable, taking us through the process step by step ( and stepping in to assist when things got tricky!) The location for the course at Paul’s home is delightful, surrounded by fields on a quiet lane. Paul was the perfect teacher and host providing drinks and a delicious lunch. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to give fused glass work a go ( oh and my finished piece looked pretty good too - trust the process!)"

"Thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was well structured and paced so that everyone could complete their next task without feeling rushed, and we had plenty of time and opportunity to ask questions. We learned a lot from discussion with Paul and he was very good at demonstrating each task. We were given time to practise and hone our skills before tackling each stage of our project. All 3 of us finished with a lovely design, of sufficient quality to display in our homes. Thank you for a brilliant experience!"

"Really good day of glass fusing. Even absolute beginners can come away with something to be proud of. Paul is a patient and helpful teacher - there to assist but not getting in the way or involving himself where not needed and so allowing the pupil's creative juices to flow! The tools and raw materials were of very good quality and in plentiful supply with lots of time and glass to practise with. Highly recommended and we are thinking already about returning for more!"

"My friend Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed our day, so glad we didn’t give up trying to find it! ( Craftcourses failed to send detailed instructions on how to find it, you definitely need them!) Paul was very patient, explained everything from safety, where to get tools and materials, to the techniques to use. Kept us well supplied with tea/coffee and supplied lunch (soup and roll). Awaiting our items to be delivered but very pleased with the look prior to firing. I am certainly going to have a go at home, would definitely recommend."

"Tony and I had the most wonderful day. Paul was so welcoming and created the most relaxing environment. There was no pressure and we both felt at ease straight away. It was great learning how to use the equipment and Paul was happy to share websites etc should we choose to take the hobby further. Paul was kind, encouraging and helpful with ideas on how to tweak our designs to get the best out of them without being at all pushy. He has a great talent. We shared the day with a lovely couple (Alex and Tim - Hi!) so was able to have a laugh and a joke along the way as well. We were so well looked after (I dont think Ive ever drank so much tea before) and we were provided with a very tasty lunch which was shared around Pauls kitchen table. We met the tortoises and shared stories of places we had visited and picked up some recommendations too. Already contemplating booking the stained glass course and cant wait to receive our creations. Loved it! If you can, please go! Thank you Paul. "

"This was my 2nd time visiting Paul's workshop having previously done the 2 day stained glass course. This time I treated myself to the fused glass day for my birthday. Very relaxed, lots of tea and I now have a lovely piece of original artwork hanging in my home which reminds me of a beautiful Scottish beach which is significant to our family. "My wife and I spent a wonderful day in the beautiful surroundings of Paul's home/studio. Paul is a talented and patient teacher, explaining not only HOW things are done but, just as importantly, WHY they should be done that way. In addition to unlimited use of a great selection of materials, we also received a copious supply of hot drinks, and even lunch. Don't worry if you have never done anything like this before - Paul is very patient, and will allow you to work at your own pace, giving you guidance if required. At the end of the day you will have completed a glass item that you will be proud of, which Paul will fuse in the kiln, and send on to you (or arrange for you to collect) within a few days (we can't wait to see our finished items). Once again, thank you Paul for a very enjoyable and informative day."
