Fused glass day course - beginners/intermediate
Description
In this one day (6 hour) course you will learn the basics of glass fusing. You can expect to make a piece approximately 20cm x 20cm. Some people prefer to make a number of smaller pieces rather than one large piece...the choice is up to you! There is also the option of buying more glass if you have time and wish to make more pieces. Based in a lovely semi rural setting just outside Reading, I run small workshops with a maximum of 4 people which means you will receive lots of individual tuition. No previous experience is necessary for you to be able to achieve great results! I graduated from Brunel university with a first class honours degree and am a practicing glass artist selling and exhibiting my work in galleries, I've also worked in the art department of a busy secondary school so i've plenty of experience in both the Arts and educational field. Classes are adapted to suit each person and there is plenty of scope for individuality ...so you can arrive with your own ideas or alternatively I have projects already set up for those who would prefer to work that way.
What's included in the price?
All glass, metal foils, frits etc are included. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch.
