'Glass for the Garden' with the Cheshire School of Glass

About the Course
There are many applications for glass art but given it’s ability to change with the light and produce beautiful colours and shadows, nowhere is more relevant than outside and the garden is an ideal location. It is no surprise that glass sculptures are a prominent part of Kew Gardens and prestigious garden shows such as Chelsea Flower Show.
You will learn to cut and shape glass and produce your own original fused glass piece that will be mounted into specially fabricated frame designed for the garden (that is included in your course cost).
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

My sister-in-law and I had a great day. Jenny is an excellent teacher and she makes you feel like you're an expert. She was generous with the materials and the tea. I would highly recommend a course with her, even if you're not particularly artistic, this is a course you will come away from with a great sense of achievement

I've been on a course recently with Jenny Barker at Cheshire school of Glass. A highly professional day . I was very impressed with the tutors knowledge and teaching skills. I would recommend this course to anyone. The results were amazing. They are now situated in my garden pride of place. Well worth the money.

We spent a great day with Jen, who is kind, generous and very patient. We made outdoor and indoor pieces with her help and encouragement. When we collected them we were really chuffed with the results. We would recommend this for anyone-it is amazing what you can achieve first time.

A lovely location with excellent tuition. I was very impressed with how much we got on this course for the money paid. Not only did we make lots of pieces of glass, we also got very good quality metal frames to take home for our gardens. I will go back for more tuition at Cheshire School of Glass.

This was my second course at Cheshire school of Glass. It was even better than the first. Jenny's talent and expertise helped all of us create beautiful pieces to take home. I am so proud of what I have made and can't wait to put them in the garden and show family and friends. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone, whether you are a beginner or have worked with glass before. Emma Cunningham

I have been on the glass for the garden course recently with Cheshire School of Glass. It was wonderful. The farm based business was in a beautiful beamed barn with lots of materials and two very talented teachers who have worked in glass for a long time. They were all great, approachable, lovely ladies.

I made 4 different sculptural pieces to go in to a metal frame for the garden- one for each season. I loved this course. I met some great people and Jenny was generous and patient with my inability .to cut glass. Great fun

I have been to other glass fusing courses, but this is by far and away the best to date. Jen has so much experience and makes the course fun and interesting.
I will be be booking another course and recommending it to my friends.
