Amy reviewed: Forge a Knife- Blacksmithing and Knifemaking Experience Day

"From start to finish this was the best experience day we have ever had, and worth every penny. You cram in so many techniques and tools whilst forging and get to understand what really goes into this craft. My Forged in Fire mad Dad has not stopped telling everyone about it. You are in charge of every step of the process, Jon expertly guides you from the side lines and steps in if you need anything. Jon is crazy knowledgeable and so wonderfully kind, the day with him flew by. I highly recommend this experience, you will have so much fun and get chance to unleash your inner blacksmith."

Alina Ene reviewed: Fused Glass Sun Catcher Workshop with Natalie Bullock

"It was a breath of fresh air to be able to be crafty again after such a long time in lockdown. I have been to many many workshops of various fashion but Natalie’s was the best with no exaggeration. She allowed me to put my own spin on my creations as I ended up making jewellery. I had plenty of time and was suggested rather than told what to do. She and Paul have a lovely workshop and are very kind hosts. I highly recommend!"

Natalie Bullock Art responded:

"Thank you for this lovely review Alina! I really enjoyed teaching you and Melissa, you are both fantastic students ? I hope you were pleased with your pieces! Best wishes Natalie x"

Jacqui reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"My friend and I had a really fun couple of days with Jamal in his home based workspace. We learned a little of his training and the process of stained glass window creation... then we got really hands on; choosing glass, cutting, leading and soldering all under Jamal expert easy going tuition. We had a laugh, got creative and produced wonderful little pieces that I’m so proud of it’s hanging in my conservatory catching the light. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were made very welcome, educated and entertained, and it was wonderful to learn from such a talented artist. Highly recommended."

Stained Glassic responded:

"Thank you very much Jacqui for your review."

"The setting for the Sea Glass Workshop with Seacycle Studio was beautiful and tranquil, the hospitality, refreshments and lunch wonderful. Having run training courses myself, I know what it is like when you run one for the first time. Shanine, the tutor, was excellent in her knowledge and skill. "The venue is a lovely small campsite not far from Shrewsbury and was easy to find following the directions that were provided. Upon arrival there was a personalised welcome board signposting us where to park and to the studio. Rachel was very welcoming and patient with us throughout the session. We were able to use our own creativity and Rachel assisted us to make our ideas a reality. All the materials and advice we could need were provided (as well as tea coffee and biscuits) and we were both really surprised at the quality of the pieces we were able to produce. We thoroughly enjoyed the session and would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you Rachel :-)"

"We had a fabulous introduction to glass fusion with Sally. She is an amazing teacher, very easy going and made the session so much fun. She showed us lots of techniques which we will certainly sign up for another session ! Sally was very good at guiding us in the right direction explaining what the different glass types would produce after fusion. The half day passed so quickly but we’re looking forward to seeing our finished pieces. We both did 2 stand alone coasters each but there was plenty of opportunity to do other things. We stayed simple until next time ! We would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to have a go at trying glass fusion."

Recommend this course for anyone interested in starting on a spoon carving journey - you will learn everything you need to know about wood, axe work and knife work. Nick’s enthusiasm and encouragement is a tonic and spoon carving is just a little bit infectious, so beware - you’ll be hooked!!!"

oliver piepereit reviewed: Danish Cord Woven Stool Weekend - WITH ASH FRAME OPTION

"Being a furniture maker and restorer I wanted to widen my skill set. What a brilliant course! Myself and 3 others attended the pilot for this workshop which ended up being well thought out and executed. If the pilot can be this good then i'm sure you can book with confidence for the roll out of normal courses. I took photos and notes throughout to make sure I could replicate the process when I get round to making my own frame. Thank you Ollie."
