David Yates reviewed: Introduction to Beekeeping Workshop

"The content of the course was intelligent but easy to understand. It covered everything a novice could wish to know before taking up bee keeping, just out of interest, curiosity or deciding that it maybe not for them. Lunch was great, and being able to get up close and personal with a hive of bees was a pleasure. If you have an interest or are inquisitive about bees I would recommend this as a starting point. Hannah is obviously passionate about her bees and that shows in the content of the material."

Christine Bennett reviewed: Pottery throwing course in the South Downs National Park (one day - one-to-one)

"I had a fantastic day in Rowena's studio on a one-to-one day course. I hadn't done any pottery for nearly 20 years and had never used a wheel, but Rowena is very patient, encouraging and great at explaining what to do (and giving a helping hand when needed!). I made 3 small bowls on the wheel and then spent the afternoon decorating a bowl. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to booking another day to practise the skills I learned."

Robert kenworthy reviewed: Dry stone walling course Lancashire/Yorkshire/Manchester/Leeds/Sheffield/North West

"I had a great time learning the old skills of dry stone walling. With John’s guidance, from laying the base to placing the toppers, John instructed us through all the skills of stonewalling. With plenty of fresh air and beautiful scenery the two days flew by. Even though the course was intense and frustrating trying to get the right fit of stone, John’s help in mindfulness worked a treat. I will continue doing walling with the confidence that with the knowledge that I have been given I can improve day by day. Ta."

Katie Hockley reviewed: 1 day introduction to silver jewellery making

"This course was fantastic! Jonathan was a brilliant teacher who really passed on his enthusiasm and passion for jewellery making to all of us on the course! I even came home with jewellery I had designed and made myself. I will be booking on more of his courses and can’t wait to learn more about jewellery making! Aside from the jewellery, the lunch and biscuits provided were home made and delicious. I can’t recommend this course highly enough."

Lieke reviewed: Beginners sewing classes on one to one basis

"Really good class. Lots of advice from Karen & Bridget and really enjoyed the project they picked. Atmosphere was really good, everyone was friendly and welcoming. I don't have much sewing experience, so I was worried it would be too complicated but with help I managed to make a top within one session (just had to finish the hemming at home). The skills learned will come in very useful for other projects, I'm looking forward to the next session!"

Lindsay Johnston reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"This was a wonderful introduction to stone carving. The atmosphere was very relaxed and Sebastian really made it easy to just 'have a go'. There was also space to be creative to achieve one's aim, and I came away with something I was happy with. It was also cool to have the sheep looking on! Loved every minute! Thank you to Sebastian and to the 3 encouraging class mates :)"

Rachel Shelton reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I had looked forward to my glass day for months and it was no disappointment. Amanda was an excellent teacher, but more than that, with the two other students on my day, she made it such a special time. We learnt a lot, laughed a lot, ate a lot of delicious homemade food and I really want to book another day as soon as I can... a lot!! The two projects were perfect for many levels of ability and there were so many resources and materials to help us in her enviable studio. It was a fantastic day."

Fraser Goldie reviewed: Green wood chair making in Suffolk

"I would definitely recommend this course to anyone with any ability level! I was slightly nervous before starting the course as I didn't think I would be able to finish with a fully working chair due to me not having any prior experience in making chairs. This was not the case though! I managed to finish down to the patience of Stewart and his knowledge of woodworking. The group size of 4 is perfect as he can fully devote his time to each one of you and it allows you to work at your own pace. Stewart and Belle provided a really fun and enjoyable week and have definitely got me interested in pursuing other courses! I couldn't recommend this enough."

Michael Hall reviewed: Beginners spoon carving course

"I completed the beginner carving course with my partner yesterday. Upon arrival Stephen was friendly and approachable and did not cease being so the entire length of the session. The setting was lovely, comfortable and a genuinely nice space to learn in. Stephen took our group through the very basics of selecting wood, reading the grain, axe work, knife work and techniques. By the end we all had something that, whilst rustic, was ours. Uniquely ours. You'll leave the session able to competently pursue carving at home should you wish, it is certainly what I'll be doing."

They followed up with a very helpful email to assist in taking things forward. I will defo attend another day. Thanks again."

Melis Erden reviewed: Glove making workshop

"I've grown a new appreciation for glove making. Vajira has been so patient with us. It's a good idea not to have more than 3 people in this course, we needed so much attention! I would've been happier if we had maybe 1 more day. :) Great fun and relaxing! I appreciated Vajira let us put creative input into our making process even though we were total beginners. That excites me! Thank you!"

Peiris Designs responded:

"Hi Melise, Thanks for last minute booking. it was lovely to have you. I loved your colour combination, and the special details and the creative touch! looking forward to see some custom made gloves!!"
