"This is the second time I've attended a class at Martin's workshop. It's a wonderful welcoming environment. Which is extremely well equipped and offers a spacious work bench for each participant. All materials and equipment needed for your season are readily available and Martin is a very patient teacher. He has many samples on display which offer inspiration and encouragement as to what can be achieved in a day. There's a constant supply of hot drinks to keep you going throughout the day and a lovely cafe upstairs where you can order lunch to eat in or take away. "

"I've been to several of Martin and Kate's workshops and they have all been fantastic. I attended the Painting on Glass Workshop on Sunday 3rd March and once again had a brilliant time and learnt a new skill which I will be able to adapt to the stain glass pieces I make on the weekly workshop. "There's no real reason to leave a review as such because Martin, I am sure, already has a good number of positive customer reports? Returning students/customers is always the best sign and certificate of something that's good - and there were a few in the room with me? But here I go : Martin takes you through the steps of the process, the methods, tricks and variations of painting on glass skilfully and efficiently. And, if you're unsure, well - that's not a problem as he will go over it again for you and make sure you're fine and ready to go and create. I was the only bloke in the room (obv. apart from the boss!) and he kept an eye on my progress just as much as the others and I did't feel out of place whatsoever as the vibe in the room was relaxed, cool and happy. The facilities are great and if you fancy a full on midday meal there's the restaurant above. I would thoroughly recommend this, and to be perfectly honest, any other course he gives as I am sure he runs those just as professionally. I was there again a few weeks later to collect my kilned pieces and the room was again full of creative and happy sounding people. "

"I think I've found my new love! I was looking to add another dimension to my stained glass work - and I am now a convert. Martin is, as always, concise and informative - taking you in small steps through the processes of painting lines, curves and experimenting with textures before moving on to the removal technique. Everyone had the chance to make several pieces during the day, and the opportunity to either use the templates and ideas provided or to use your own. No prior experience of working with glass is needed - and I would definitely not call myself a painter, but I am delighted with the pieces I made. Also a great recommendation for lunch from the cafe next door!"

"Excellent painting on glass workshop with Martin, good tuition and lots of materials to work with including lots of design options to choose from. "A fantastic day with expert guidance and support from Martin. Everyone had their own workspaces and tools and all the equipment (glass, paint, brushes etc) was provided for.
