"Excellent tuition from Kate, explaining the basics of glass cutting and health and safety aspects. There was lots of scrap glass to choose from and we could choose from a template or could make our own design. Kate was very attentive throughout giving good advice, and the number of attendees was appropriate. The workshop was very well organised and we were advised on how to use all the tools and equipment. I would do it again, only wish it wasn't so far away."

"An excellent course with very good facilities in the workshop. Martin's method of teaching where he demonstrates the craft in small chunks before you try it for yourself, worked very well. Great tuition as needed, always around to advise when needed, but lots of opportunity to just get stuck in and have a go with the techniques. Would recommend this course to anyone interested in learning new skills to them but are traditional skills."

"Just spent a fantastic day making traditional stained glass with my husband and grown-up daughter. We had expert tuition from Martin, who added new techniques at appropriate points during the day, so we could progress at our own pace and not get overwhelmed with too much information. The equipment kits were great, and the choice of glass to use in the well-thought-out designs was wonderful. I would highly recommend this workshop as a lovely, way to spend a day."

"Sunday’s Traditional Stained Glass Workshop was incredible - Martin’s teaching is obviously honed by years of experience and was presented in bite-size pieces which meant the day wasn’t overwhelming and you really felt as if you could (and would!) create something to be proud of. As the day progressed, Martin made sure to go round the class ‘checking in’ and was always available to answer any questions, show you how to do something you didn’t understand, and offer guidance and advice (all with infinite patience!) There was a selection of patterns to choose from - not so many to be overwhelming but a selection that meant there was something for everyone’s taste. Choosing the glass, however, was a different matter - so many colours and textures! The day was fabulous value for money (let’s face it, that’s an important factor) - everything you would need is part of the cost (not to mention the constant supply of coffee!), the location is incredible, the workspace is the space of dreams … oh, and the teaching is second to none! Whether you have experience with glass, or are just dipping your toe in the water, I can highly recommend these workshops - don’t be afraid, give it a go and I promise you will be hooked!"

" Clear instruction and ready support & guidance from Martyn, made it encouraging and enjoyable and I'm pleased with the result, as a first-timer. The studio is a pleasant space in a nice environment and Lunch from Joni's cafe next door made it even more of a treat. Would definitely recommend."

"I’ve returned to working with Martin on one of his stained glass courses and it’s as good as ever, if not better. The facilities are fantastic and his instruction is second to. none. I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve booked on next term’s course. My wife has also booked on a one day course to make stained glass flowers. I’d recommended his courses to everybody but don’t all apply as I’ll find it difficult to book on myself"
