I went with a friend to this course and we had a fantastic time.
Paula is lovely and very knowledgeable.
The workshop covered soap making from start to finish, product safety legislation, using essential oils, registrations etc.
I'm looking forward to using the soaps we made once they finish curing.
I now feel confident enough to start making soaps myself at home and in the future would like to set up my own small business using the knowledge and information I got from Paula.
My friend and I will definitely be back for the candle making workshop.

I was really looking forward to this course once I booked; it was even better than I could have dreamt. I had a wonderful day and learnt so much. This course stands out, as not only do you make soaps but Paula goes through the whole process from start to finish and more.
The course is held in Paula's beautiful house and she is a wonderful host and teacher; so enthusiastic and helpful. The lunch/afternoon tea provided was lovely and homemade (very impressed with the scones!).
Paula was very thorough with her teaching of the soap making process so if you want to carry on at home, you can do so safely. She went through the properties of all the oils that can be used and when/how you might want to adjust her recipe. She also covered legislation around product safety, using essential oils, registrations etc. So if you are wanting to sell your own soaps you have a great starting point.
Love, love, loved it!

Definitely will be back for the next courses.

Response from Old Bexley Soap Co.:Thank you for your review. I was lovely to meet you. I look forward to seeing you in the next course!. Paula
I enjoyed taking Paula's soap making class in her lovely home. She went through all the essential information on how to make cold press soaps from home and including information on the legal compliance for selling your soaps. The class consisted of a small group, which allowed us to ask Paula any questions that we had. The fresh afternoon tea was amazing, tasty sandwiches and scones. I made 8 lovely soaps and since the class I've been twitching to do more. I would definitely recommend this course

My husband and I attended the soap making workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it! Paula is lovely. She is friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable and it felt like a real privilege to learn as much as we did from her. On our arrival we were offered some refreshments and then sat around the table while Paula provided us with detailed notes and explained some of the theory, processes and science behind soap making. Then it was time to get stuck in and have a go at making our own soap, which was so much fun! While we waited for our finished soap to harden enough to be able to take home, we were treated to a wonderful afternoon tea and had the chance to ask Paula further questions. I would highly recommend Paula's soap making workshop!

Response from Old Bexley Soap Co.:Thank you Kerry. I am so glad the course made your long journey worthwhile.
I loved, loved, loved the soap making workshop it was beyond my expectation!! I didn’t know what to expect from either workshop, but I was not disappointed. The direction and explanation I received from Paula showed me how to make a much smoother and creamier natural soap.
Paula is an extremely knowledgeable teacher about the research behind different natural soap products, ingredients, and processes. While the workshop was extremely informative, I didn't feel bombarded with new information and the tone was very relaxed.
Paula is also extremely kind, personable, and approachable, her class size is small which made the workshop an even better experience.
Overall, Paula's a knowledgeable soap maker who really understands the chemist and science of soap productive. It's worth it taking her workshop and I highly recommend her!! It's worth every penny and your time! She is open to any questions that we had. I look forward to taking more workshops soon! Anick, from Kent

Paula has structured the workshop perfectly. For a visual learner with a short attention span, this was very effective. I got to take home great smelling soaps I made myself too; can’t wait for them to cure so I can use it!
Paula also provides a lot of useful information. Great value for money and time well spent.

Paula was so welcoming on the 1-2-1 course that I did with her to learn Cold Process Soap making. I told her I wanted to make a full soap loaf prior to the course and she was most obliging. She was full of knowledge and enthusiasm and I learnt a lot from her and most importantly it was fun! I’ve done soap courses before and I have to say her course was one of the best that I have ever done and I made the most beautiful soap. She also treated me to yummy scones.
I would recommend this course to anyone, it’s brilliant!!

Fantastic day and well worth the money. Paula was extremely helpful teaching me the calculation with the soap making, best suppliers, ingredients to use for particular requirements and expert tips!
All of these have saved me hours of research time on the internet. Overall, great day and would 100% recommend this to anyone who just fancies making soap for home use or anyone who would like to take it further.
Katherine Isabel Roynon-Lambert - - #21898
Response from Old Bexley Soap Co.:Thank you Kate. It was great meeting you, let me know how you are getting on.
The course was fantastic! Paula is lovely and made us feel so welcome in her beautiful home! She was also very well prepared for her lesson and safety conscious as we had to work with Lye to make the soap. The session started off with an explanation of the theory of soap making, Paula then explained very clearly how to use the soap calculator and then we started with the practical part of the course, which was to actually make the soap. During the session, Paula was supportive throughout and answered all our questions clearly and accurately. The lesson then ended with afternoon tea. We took our beautiful soaps home and a sample soap from Paula. It was not only a lovely day out but I learnt so much on making authentic soap and it has also boosted my confidence! Highly recommend this course :)

Paula is an excellent teacher and host. I booked this course to go with a friend on her birthday and it didn’t disappoint.
Paula kindly picked us up from Bexley station as it was raining so much and drove us to her beautiful home.
We had such a fantastic morning learning and getting hands on making soap, there were so many essential oils to choose from.
After a busy morning we had a delicious afternoon tea and cakes.
Within a few days we received our soaps at home and they are now curing, I can’t wait for the 4 weeks of cure to use them!
We totally recommend this course, thank you Paula!
