From the comfort of your own home enjoy the relaxing and slightly addictive art of weaving - following the workshop step by step. You will be guided through warping the loom and following a range of weaving techniques to achieve exciting textural effects. By following this workshop you’ll gain all the skills to continue experimenting with circular weaving and as the techniques are transferable to other frame loom weaving this may just be the beginning of you next hobby. (But don't worry, weaving is a great way to use up all those odds and ends of yarn you may have in your yarn stash!) The loom and yarn colour themes are: SUNSET - an orange loom with yarns and fibres in glowing oranges and reds. MOORLAND - a purple loom with yarns in heathers, purples and greens. My love of weaving began with a small Spears loom as a child but it wasn’t until I began my textile degree at Central Saint Martins London, that I really became drawn to weaving For many years after graduating I explored and experimented with woven structures and exhibited my work widely. Alongside weaving I taught FE & HE textiles until I took time out to be with my young family. In recent years I have established my mobile weave studio and love introducing weaving to anyone and everyone.
