The course takes place on our alpaca farm. The course is suitable for beginners as I will take you through the process. Before the day I will send out designs and colours so I can warp up the looms ready for the day.
The morning will be spent weaving, overlooking the alpaca fields. During lunch there will be an opportunity to meet the alpacas, visit the weaving studio and the mini mill to see where we process our alpaca yarn.
The afternoon is spent completing the scarf and adding those finishing touches to make it your own.
If dates are not suitable please contact us as we are flexible.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included. Tea and coffee throughout the day. A vegetarian lunch.
I attended this course a short while ago and loved every minute of it. Caroline and the team are so friendly, the location is beautiful and the Alpaca's are worth a drive all on their own. I had zero experience of weaving and chose a slightly harder pattern and thanks to Caroline I made it no problem at all (well, lots of mistakes, but lots of help given). The whole experience from the tour of the wool processing equipment, meeting the alpacas, weaving the scarf to the lunch and refreshments is highly recommended.
Lovely having you here and you made a beautiful scarf
Had a great day weaving an alpaca scarf, I would really recommend this workshop. Caroline is super patient and a lovely host. I have never weaved before but proudly went home with a beautiful houndstooth scarf. A lovely lunch is included and refreshments throughout the day. The setting is beautiful and meeting the gorgeous alpacas was a real treat. Thank you Caroline :)
Thank you , enjoyed working with you and seeing what lovely scarves you made.
