A jewellery taster class which gives you a chance to try new ideas before you specialise. Learn the basics in Silversmithing, Wirework, Silver Clay, Beading, design process and best studio practice.
Who is this course for
This course is part of our suite of Absolute Beginners classes (also Drawing, Painting and Sculpture), designed to bring inexperienced and unconfident students up to speed in a selection of our arts and crafts provision.
What does this course cover
The course will give students a basic knowledge in the areas of Silversmithing, Wirework, Silver Clay, Beading, Design Process, Health and Safety/Studio Practice. Enough for students to feel like they're not starting from scratch when they want to specialise in any area.

What's included in the price?
Brass and copper and basic consumables will be supplied by the college. Silver and maybe other materials need to be supplied by the students. You will be given notes of where to buy all these, cost varies on project undertaken.
Closed shoes need to be worn at all times when participating in a jewellery class.
