I had a brilliant day at this workshop and created a pendant that has been much admired! Jo is a fab teacher, getting the balance just right between giving support when needed, while allowing space to be creative and independent. The venue is ideal, easy to get to and has parking. I have already booked my next course with Jo and can't wait. Highly recommend.

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

Thank you for your kind review Liz! I'm very pleased to hear that your pendant has been admired - as it should have been, it is lovely! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Great course, Joanne super knowledgeable and a very patient tutor to guide through step by step. Having never done anything like this, I found the hardest step was to pick the stone! You can definitely achieve a lovely pendant with no prior experience. I loved it that much I booked myself on another course in December. Have fun!

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

I'm so pleased you had such a good day Laure! Choosing the stone is often the hardest part, but your pendant is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing you again in December!

Loved this course! Joanna is a very talented lady and has a natural ability to communicate with her students. Its so important to feel relaxed and therefore, be able to take on board instructions; not being afraid to 'have a go'. She certainly creates this empathic environment. Thank you Joanna. I'm looking forward to having another go and improving upon my creation.
(If I were to change one thing it may be the ratio of student-teacher. We were a sociable group of eight but maybe six would have been even better.)

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

Thank you for your kind words Tracey, I am very pleased to hear that you loved the course!

(Regarding the class size - unfortunately limiting the class size to 6 rather than 8 would mean an increased workshop fee, nearly £20 extra in the case of this particular workshop. Some of the more advanced, technical workshops, however, are limited to 6 or sometimes even 4 students.)

Fab few hours creating a bespoke piece of sea glass jewellery with Jo’s help. Jo has so much patience, and helps you every step of the way. I’m not very creative but I really enjoyed this course and would love to come back again 😁

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

Thank you for coming on the workshop Maggie - your pendant was lovely, and it would be great to have you back in the studio any time!

I have already done a number of silversmithing courses and this was my first with Joanne Tinley. Course was good with just the right amount of time. Joanne was friendly and knowledgeable on the subject and the workshop was well equipped with tools.

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

I am glad that you enjoyed the class Karen! Thank you for coming.

I have made a few pieces of jewellery with Jo but this was one of the first workshops I went to. I vividly remember choosing the stone I wanted to make my pendant necklace with!! Jo was always there to guide us through, showing us techniques to use to help us create our own pieces.
I thoroughly enjoy Jo’s workshops, such a friendly and calm environment to be creative. I can’t wait to book my next one...

Response from Joanne Tinley Jewellery:

Thank you Amy, It's always lovely to have you in the studio! Your pendant was beautiful.
