Sterling Silver Spinner Ring Workshop (Merseyside)

X

Description

If you are interested in learning how to make your own sterling silver spinner rings, along with learning basic silversmithing skills then this is the course for you.

This course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build on the skills they already have.

Students will learn how to anneal and shape the metal into the desired ring shapes along with learning how to saw, soldier and cure the different metals before buffing and polishing the finished rings to a high shine finish.

The finished rings can be made completely from sterling silver or can be a combination of both Sterling Silver and Copper. The rings can be left plain or texturised to add additional interest.

The workshop is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the day, whilst at the same time allowing for students to work independently.

The course runs for 3 hours but on occasions can slightly over run to enable students to complete the project they are working on.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All of the materials used throughout the workshop are included within the price.

During the workshop there is an unlimited supply of free tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits available.

Please feel free to bring your own pack lunch to eat throughout the day in our beautiful canteen, alternatively there is a Sainsbury’s cafe, McDonalds, or fish and chip shop within a 5 minute walk from the studio.

There is plenty of free parking situated around the building, making it convenient for day, evening & weekend courses.

My mum and I attended the course and had a fantastic day and made a lovely set of stacker rings. Carol was very good and showing us what we needed to do to make the rings and finish them to a high shine polish. We will be attending another course soon 🙌🙌
