Sterling Silver PMC Metal Clay Workshop

X

Description

The Sterling Silver Metal Clay Workshop is suitable for absolute beginners or people with some prior experience who may wish to develop and build on skills they already have.

The skills you will learn during the day are how to use the tools to work with the silver clay and how to mould the silver clay into your desired shape. Students will also learn how to roll out and form the silver to the desired thickness, along with adding different textures and how to cut out different shapes.

During the day you will learn how to use silver clay to make a pendent necklace of your own choice. The pendent can be shaped, left plain, texturised and can even include a crystal or crystals set into your final piece. Once finished the silver clay will be torch fired before being polished to a high shine finish and mounted on to either a 16 or 18 inch sterling silver chain.

The workshop is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the day, whilst at the same time allowing students to work independently.

The course runs for 2.5 hours but on occasions can slightly over run to enable students to complete the project they are working on.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 8 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All of the materials used throughout the day are included within the price.

During the workshop there is an unlimited supply of free tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits available.

In-person course
Lorna - - #30273

I had a fun day using the silver clay and made some nice jewellery. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning how to use silver clay. Carol made it seem so easy to use and I feel sure I could now try using it on my own.

Response from La Jade:

Thank you for your lovely review Lorna, I’m glad you enjoyed the course.
