6th December *4 places available* 7th February *6 places available* 18th April *6 places available* 6th June *6 places available* *Small class size of 6* In this two hour glass fusing workshop, you will be taught the basics of working with glass, with demonstrations and tips for successful glass fusing techniques. You will be taught how to score and break glass safely, and how to work with a variety of inclusions. We will be making pendants and hanging glass ornaments - please see the attached photographs for examples. I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years’ experience and have been teaching glass workshops for 12 years. My work is inspired by natural forms, mainly flowers, foliage, and the seaside. After the workshop, the glass will be fused in a kiln and will be posted within two weeks. I will explain how this will work on the day of the workshop but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via the 'message the tutor' button. PLEASE NOTE: Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However, I am happy to accept participants aged 10+, as long as they are accompanied by a paying parent/guardian, but please contact me via the 'message the tutor' button before booking. Everything will be provided for you on the workshop so there is no need to bring anything. If you use glasses for close up work, I would highly recommend that you bring these! When planning your journey please bear in mind that my workshops need to start promptly at the time stated due to the processes that we will be using, therefore could I ask that all participants arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start time. Ransom's Pavilion is the red building in the middle of the park, there is a free car park next to the Esso Petrol Station on Nightingale Road - SG5 1RQ (the 3 hour restriction only applies between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday).
