Description

10th January *6 places available* 14th March *6 places available* 9th May *6 places available* * Small class size of 6 * In this workshop you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making. You will be taught how to roll, texture, cut, fire and finish a minimum of one .999 fine silver pendant which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop (you will potentially make more depending on the sizes and shapes chosen). PLEASE NOTE: If you have a design project in mind - please get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button to ensure that you book onto a workshop that gives you enough time to complete the piece/pieces due to the nature of the processes used. Feel free to message me if you are unsure. Please also feel free to bring along any small objects like stamps, textured surfaces, natural forms, etc, from home which you might like to use, a collection will also be provided for you to pick from. I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years experience, hold a Higher Level qualification in Silver Clay and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 12 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside. PLEASE NOTE: Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept younger participants (aged 11+) as long as they are accompanied by a paying parent/guardian but please email me before booking. Everything will be provided for you on the workshop so there is no need to bring anything. If you use glasses for close up work, I would highly recommend that you bring these! When planning your journey please bear in mind that my workshops need to start promptly at the time stated due to the processes that we will be using, therefore could I ask that all participants arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start time.  Ransom's Pavilion is the red building in the middle of the park, there is a free car park next to the Esso Petrol Station on Nightingale Road - SG5 1RQ (the 3 hour restriction only applies between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday).
