"I attended Tuuli's silver clay workshop at Ransom's Pavillion, Hitchin. The workshop was a birthday gift - the process of booking with a gift voucher was very straightforward. Before attending I received helpful instructions about where to go, what to bring and what to expect. The workshop was a small group of 6, plus Tuuli. We were all made very welcome, and Tuuli started with a friendly intro to the course and what we'd be doing. The workshop was hugely fun and rewarding. We learned so many techniques, and I particularly enjoyed using the blowtorch! We practised making our pieces first before being let loose on the silver clay, which I found very helpful. The clay itself was easier to work with than I was expecting, and the finished pieces were delicate and very pretty. I was delighted to be able to make three small pendants plus a pair of earrings, which was more than I was expecting - basically we were given a set amount of clay, and could do what we wanted with it, some made a single ring, others like me made a few items. At each step Tuuli gave a very clear explanation, and took the time to show us (sometimes repeatedly!) how to do something - I really appreciated her patience and friendly manner, especially when I held things up a bit when trying to get my earrings to match (sorry about that!). The pace and content of the course were perfect for me as a beginner - however I think it would also be fine if you do have some experience and had a piece in mind that you wanted to make. I would definitely recommend Tuuli's workshop - the whole experience was simple, fun, inclusive and rewarding, and I'm absolutely delighted with what I achieved. Definitely good value for money too. Both complete novices but Tuuli was very patient and explained processes clearly, and didn’t mind going over processes more than once for those of us who were confused the first time (me!)! "I took this course as I would like to make some earrings from leaves of my favourite plants. Tuuli organised our time together so efficiently and effectively that I can hardly believe that we covered so many options. As well as finding time to collect some plant material from the local forest garden, we made moulds using three different media and learnt how to judge quantities and depths of mould material to get the perfect result. Tuuli has a clear, thorough and efficient way of demonstrating techniques which were easy to follow. "

"I really liked this course. Tuuli gave a very thorough class on how to create the moulds and we tried a variety in the class with enough materials spare to continue to make some moulds at home. I really recommend it and I'm looking forward to using the moulds and hunting for tiny things to take moulds of! :)"

"The course is a very informative course and where I learnt to make moulds correctly. I have had a go before the course and wasted a lot of moulding material. It was lovely to mould leaves no matter how tiny, and discover which moulds are better for more accurate detail. I would recommend this course."

"This is my second session, I did the Silver Clay Saturday morning class last September and really enjoyed both. Tuuli is a very good communicator, very patient and helpful. The groups are small, so everyone is able to get the help and support they need. I was very happy with the ring I made, it’s amazing what you can achieve in a 4 hour workshop with little or no previous knowledge of working with the equipment and materials. If you’re thinking of booking a session, I would definitely recommend it, you won’t be disappointed!"
