Saturday Silver Ring Making Workshop - Ransom's Pavilion, Hitchin

In this four hour session, you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay and sterling silver with demonstrations and tips for successful ring making. You will be taught how to measure, cut, fire, solder and finish a minimum of one ring.

I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 8 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside.

Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 14-15 as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian but please email me before booking.

Please note: Due to Covid Restrictions, my workshops have been limited to 5 people from different households - please get in touch if you have any questions regarding this. All participants have their own table and tools postponed 2 metres apart.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

7 grams of silver clay and sterling silver jump rings are provided, other findings and necklaces are available to purchase on the day.

No experience needed.

Refreshments are not currently included due to Covid Restrictions.

Sam Irving - - #26843

This is my second course with Tuuli, and i I really enjoyed it. She's a great teacher and I didn't feel confused at any point even though a lot of the processes (like soldering and hammering) were totally new to me. I felt very proud of what I'd made at the end too! I also took my mum as her Xmas present and she thoroughly enjoyed herself too and is so pleased with the ring and earrings she made herself. Can't recommend highly enough.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback Sam! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave it. I'm so glad you and your mum enjoyed the workshop.

In-person course
Katherine Miell - - #25483

Had such a lovely time, making my creations. It was only a small class and Tuuli was able to give everyone plenty of time to talk through all the processes. Really enjoyed the class and can't wait to get started.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

Thank you so much for your feedback Katherine. It is greatly appreciated. Welcome to the addictive world of silversmithing!

In-person course
Jodie King - - #25323

My 2nd class with Tuuli and it was just as good as the first! I loved the class and Tuuli is patient, informative and helpful. I also loved the small class size which meant everyone got 1 to 1 help and advice when they needed.

Response from Tuuli Parker:

Thank you so much for leaving feedback. I'm so glad you enjoyed it Jodie!
