In this three hour session, you will be taught the basics of working with silver clay with demonstrations and tips for successful jewellery making. You will be taught how to roll, texture, fire and finish a minimum of one .999 fine silver pendant which will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop (potentially more depending on the size and shape chosen).
Please note: if you have a design project in mind - please let us know through the "Chat with the Maker" button, to ensure that you book onto a workshop that gives you enough time to complete the piece/pieces due to the nature of the processes used.
I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience and have been teaching silver clay workshops for 9 years. My work is inspired by natural forms; mainly flowers, foliage and the seaside. Please feel free to bring along any small objects like stamps, textured surfaces, natural forms etc. from home which you might like to use, a collection will also be provided for you to pick from.
Participants should be over 16 due to the equipment used in this process. However I am happy to accept participants aged 14-15 as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian but please email me before booking.
Please note: Due to Covid Restrictions, my workshops have been limited to 5 people from different households - please get in touch if you have any questions regarding this. All participants have their own table and tools postponed 2 metres apart.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
7 grams of silver clay and sterling silver jump rings are provided, other findings and necklaces are available to purchase on the day.
