Description
Art clay Silver is a fantastic man made material to work with, its made from recycled silver, mixed with organic binders and moisture, it can be textured, shaped, cut and moulded like clay, then when it's fired, it reverts to become 99.9% fine silver again. This means that you don't need any prior jewellery making or silversmithing skills to enjoy this media and make beautiful, fine silver jewellery pieces! You can book onto a three hour taster class which will give you a great introduction into the 'magical material' that is silver clay. Learn how to prepare to make a piece of jewellery and how to texture, cut and shape your design. Students will also be taught how to torch fire their silver and how to polish it before taking their charms, pendants or earrings home to wear. Choose to come along for a morning workshop. Bespoke sessions are also available. This workshop is suitable for those aged 12+.
