Description
A fun creative workshop (a private class as a 1-1 or your group, price is per person) to create your own enamelled copper jewellery to take home with you at the end of the session. This is a fun beginner's taster class using powdered enamels on copper shapes. Your booking is private for you/your group only. You will select and prepare your copper shapes and then add layers of sifted coloured glass powders, firing each layer of each piece directly in a 800C kiln for a few minutes (safety equipment available but a steady hand is useful!). I will show you various options for adding some details eg: sgraffito, stencils, inclusions like glitter etc. and you can choose what colour combinations and finishes you'd like to try. At the end you can add a jump ring and can take your pieces home with you. (Optional: soft faux leather necklaces are available to purchase on the day for £2 each). You will each be able to make 3 items of jewellery (either 3 pendants or 2 pendants and 1 pair of earrings). For safety reasons, this workshop is limited to 3 people max and over 14s only (U16s accompanied by paying adult). The session might go a little over the 1.5 hours, depending on the complexity of your pieces.

I love sharing my enthusiasm for fusing glass and using my experience to help people make a few pieces they are proud to display at home! I have a small studio where I make my own glass jewellery to sell via shops and galleries and I can teach up to 6 people at the studio in Worcester. I prefer small groups so that I can give each person the individual attention they need to make their creations - I have plenty of examples for those stuck for ideas!
