Description
Everybody loves a bit of sparkle, so why not come on this fused glass workshop, where you can make jewellery using iridescent glass (dichroic glass)? You will learn how to create your own image within the dichroic glass and be able to choose from a range of colours. Suitable for beginners or people wanting to learn a new technique. You will learn how to cut, layer and etch on to the glass to form beautiful glass jewellery. Your pieces will then be fired and made into pendants or earrings for you to collect. We can also post your finished pieces for a small extra cost. The courses are held at Glass Quarter Designs, Studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons. There is also a coffee shop on site but tea and coffee will be provided.
