Fused Glass Poppies Masterclass

Glassification are pleased to bring you Craig Mitchell Smith’s beautiful warm glass Poppies taught under licence by our very own Tina Easton.

Tina has learnt the techniques for this Masterclass directly from Craig, who is pleased to grant her permission to teach the class on his behalf and with use of all his course materials.

The Poppies Masterclass is an intensive 3-day course that teaches you all of Craig Mitchell Smith’s techniques for making fused glass poppies – including handouts of Craig’s cutting diagrams, fusing schedules, adjustable slumping techniques and mounting for both wall based design and garden sculptures. Previous students have had great success in selling their sculptures, proving very popular with customers.

Some previous experience of fusing and cutting skills are required.

Students are invited to bring their own basic tools to the workshop – all materials required are provided.

Start time on day one – 10am

A little background about your tutor, Tina Easton.

Tina grew up in Sweden where there is a long tradition of glassmaking. She herself started working with glass 14 years ago. Much of her own work takes inspiration from her childhood growing up on the West Coast of Sweden, the World Heritage Site of Tanum, as well as the beautiful countryside around her current home in Hampshire.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
