Introduction to Leaded Stained Glass

Description

This is a practical course aimed at anyone wanting to learn the technical skills to make their own leaded stained glass panel. You will work through a series of methods and techniques to create your piece which you will take home at the end of the day. Course Content: - Cutting glass to fit a design, - Fitting the glass and lead together into the design - Soldering the lead - Cementing the finished panel

What's included in the price?

Course fee is fully inclusive of all materials, use of tools, lunch and refreshments. Lunch will typically be bread, cheese, pate, salad, fruit. Refreshments will be freely available - tea, coffee both caffeinated and decaffeinated. Max students: 4 No minimum students Please do not book on this course if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

"A wonderful day spent trying a new craft with the helpful and extremely patient and knowledgeable Gen. It was a full day from 9.30am until 5.30pm with a delicious lunch provided. The course was worth every penny and is a brilliant way to treat yourself or others. . Gen was so attentive to all four of us who all had a range of experience and worked at different paces - she was amazing. I came away with a lovely stained glass panel which I’m very proud of. As a complete novice, I was a bit concerned - but I was taken through the process step by step by Gen. For each stage, Gen explained the process really well and in a way that was easy to follow. With four students we got lots of one to one support when needed. It was so lovely to see my design evolve as the day went on. I felt very proud of my finished piece.
