Ann reviewed: One Day Pottery Throwing Course, including lunch - Hampshire

"This course exceeded all expectations from the welcome, through calm expert instructions and a gentle guiding hand to avoid disasters. A throughly professional course but one where learning, achievement and social interactions were all valued. Lunch was excellent as were the frequent breaks to avoid total fatigue! Very good value on all levels. Well done to a young but successful enterprise which I hope will continue to prosper."

"We had a fantastic experience doing this course with Ian. Perfectly structured course, firstly learning how to make a mallet and then transferring the skills to making an absolutely beautiful stool each. We are so happy with our stools in our home. Ian is a fantastic teacher and a really interesting man - we really enjoyed his company for the day. Thank you again!!"

Karina Holland reviewed: Lampshade Making - Gathered & Pleated shades - Small Group - 2 day Workshop - York

"This course was fantastic! It was the first course of this type I had ever gone to so was a bit nervous– I was so surprised I completed day 2 with a beautiful shade gathered at the top and bottom. I loved it so much I decided to go back again to learn how to do box pleats at the top and gathered at the bottom. Jacqueline was so encouraging, allowing us to go at our own speeds ensuring that we were confident at each stage. I am now slowly going around our house getting creative adding splashes of colour with unique lampshades to different rooms."

JSInteriorsUK responded:

"So glad you enjoyed this course Karina, you are a pleasure to teach. We are running a scatter cushion course soon. I will let me know dates once they have been confirmed."

Karina Holland reviewed: Bespoke hand stitched Roman blinds - 1-2-1 workshop (North of York)

"This course was great – I was initially a little anxious taking on such a large project, however I had been on one of the lampshade courses Jacqueline has run in the past and she was so encouraging throughout that I thought I’d give it a try. Becki & Paulo reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"We made a detour to come spend an afternoon with Harriet and we aren't the type that are normally into pottery...however. Harriet made it fun, interactive and just...well..pretty hilarious. We had a great afternoon with her and came out with more than we expected (We were expecting to only be capable of ashtrays) but we actually made some awesome pots with her tutelage! She's an amazing human being and teacher, I can't recommend her highly enough. She kept great communication before our session too, she's a real star. I promise if you book with her, you won't regret it!"

"Denise, I just wanted to thank you so much for yesterday. Now I'm looking at my painting with fresh eyes I'm really pleased with it. It's exactly how I saw it in my head, and I prefer it to the painting I showed you that I wasn't happy about. I'm going to finish it today and bring it with me next week for your critique. Thanks for all your advice, it's really helped me a lot."

Annette Harrison reviewed: Inspired to stitch - a two day fabric collage and handstitch course

"A lovely course in a beautiful setting. Amanda was very generous with her knowledge and experience and it was interesting to look at textiles from an art perspective through the many books Amanda made available, and how the two genres can inform each other. Using simple running stitch in different ways against a background of collage fabrics was relaxing and the results were pleasing. I have continued to work on the pieces I started during the course and now have the confidence to try more. Excellent."

Amanda Duke Artist responded:

"Thankyou for your review Annette. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the course and would love to see your final stitched pieces when they are complete. I hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Amanda"

Ian Neale reviewed: Blacksmithing course with Longdog Smithy

"My son and I attended the Longdog Smithy course recently. Tom was gracious, welcoming, helped us feel at ease immediately. We chose what we wanted to make, he offered advice then walked us through the day - instructing and encouraging with the knowledge and experience he evidently has. He even helped us record the experience on camera! We loved it. People are amazed at the raw beauty of the knives we crafted out of a length of plain old metal bar. Thank you, Tom!"

"My daughter, husband and I spent the day learning how to lino cut with Annette. We had a fantastic time. Annette is a brilliant teacher (patient, kind, and great at giving just the right advice) and very skilled in lino cutting which means you learn fast and can create a successful plate and great prints all in a day. The venue is great too. I couldn't recommend this course highly enough. Thank you for a lovely day."

"Cheryl is wonderful. She has made some beautiful stained glass windows for my porch doors and a fabulous window above with our house number. Mary McNeil reviewed: Needlefelting workshop at Dalkeith Country Park

"I don’t view myself as particularly creative so it was with a bit of trepidation I signed up for one of Jo’s classes. I shouldn’t have worried! Jo was so warm and welcoming and set before us the most beautiful array of coloured wool. She explained the process clearly and we all set to work creating our own feltings. We all had a great time, chatting and felting. There was a lovely warm atmosphere and I ended my session feeling relaxed and rather pleased with what I had made. Which Jo framed for me, it looked really professional."
