Thanks to Nic and Ben from Boocottagebotanicals for a great Sunday morning making soap. I haven't enjoyed myself on a course this much in ages. A lovely, relaxed, knowledgeable couple, who seamlessly taught 9 people, complete beginners, to make a bar of delicious soap.
Fabulous village setting. The Village Hall was perfect, lots of room, warm, but cosy too. A wide range of herbal teas with endless cookies for refreshments. Parking. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has even toyed with the idea of making soap, its so enjoyable!

I really enjoyed the hand, foot and face workshop. Due to my disability I was given some extra help which was much appreciated. The face cream is great and a little seems to be going a long way.
Ruth Chase - - #25831
I did the Natural Skincare and Soap workshop all in a day. Skincare in the morning and soap in the afternoon. The Village hall venue was a great space for hosting the workshop. Nic gives an informative introduction in the beginning which gives you knowledge you will use for the rest of the day when making your skincare and soaps. The skincare workshop has a lot of options to get creative and make the things you want. This was followed by a delicious lunch with Nic and Ben who are great hosts. Making soap in the afternoon was the most fun and both Nic and Ben are very attentive and helpful to make sure everything goes smoothly. They are both happy to answer as many questions as you have and since the workshop, I have been making soap at home and Nic cannot be more helpful via email with advice.
Whether you are looking for a fun day to try something new and be inspired or want to start making your own products/soap but don't know where to start, this workshop is suitable for everyone.

Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Ilona,
We attended this course on Sunday, and didn't really know what to expect. Its safe to say that it exceeded all our expectations. Nic and Ben delivered a fun and informative course. Nic brilliantly explained the science behind soap making, which was fascinating and then they both led us through the process step by step, giving all of the group equal attention and guidance. Cannot recommend highly enough, we cant wait to go back.
Vanessa Thompson - - #25753
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Ness,
I came on Sunday 27th with my Mum, sister and 14 year old neice. Nic and Ben are warm and welcoming hosts and the setting/views were amazing!! This course is excellent for the seasoned crafter or (more like our group) a family group that wanted to spend time together, doing something fun with likeminded people! Hosts explain everything and are always on hand to advise. Fab course!!
Becky Stubbs - - #25741
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Becky,
I had an absolutely wonderful time and the morning passed really quickly. The information was really useful and I felt we were taught rather than just instructed on what to do, which was useful. We were given an understanding into the processes and the stages in the creation of our beautiful soaps. I was really pleased with the soaps that I made and have thoroughly enjoyed using them and shared a couple with friends. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in making their own soap, and I will be looking at booking a different workshop in 2020. Thank you.
Bridget Stait - - #25736

What a wonderful workshop, Nic and Ben couldn’t be more welcoming! The background to soap making was really interesting and a great start to the day. Then the whole soap making process was fantastic with clear instruction and plenty of resources to get creative. Fabulous soaps to take home, I’d definitely go again! Thank you.
Emma - - #19301
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Thanks Emma for such a lovely review! Really great to meet you all - hope you enjoy using your soaps and we'd definitely love to have you again! Nic
The village hall worked very well as the venue for the soap making workshop in January. Nicolas’s intro talk was pitched well giving a reassuring scientific context to the process, just enough to make you feel they know what they are doing. Ben worked hard to keep the process moving for the 9 of us. It was a busy, enjoyable 3 hours. Went home pleased with my soap. I have now booked on to another of their workshops.
Amanda chuter - - #19021
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Amanda,
We attended the ‘Natural Skincare Workshop’ and had a fantastic time. Nic and Ben were very welcoming, they gave us a memorable and fun experience whilst spending quality time with close friends. We had the freedom to create our own unique products from a large selection of natural ingredients and we were all very pleased with the finished items which we were able to take home. I would highly recommend this workshop.

We booked a workshop to celebrate birthdays together. Our age range was from 18 to 85 and we had a brilliant time: really fun, very informative and lovely products to take away at the end. I would highly recommend this, either a session making one thing or a longer workshop trying a few different techniques.
Kate Frost - - #18060
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Kate, Many thanks for your lovely review - we really enjoyed having you all, it was a fun-filled morning of creativity and laughter. Hope you enjoyed using your goodies, Nic
This was a well structured and fun course. There were only 4 on the course which allowed for the tutor to give us all plenty of time and attention. The range of options for ingredients was excellent. I am now using my soap and it is a really nice product which smells delightful in the bathroom. I shall certainly go back to make some more when my stock runs low.
Anne Goldsbury - - #17984
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Hi Anne, Many thanks for your lovely review - glad to hear your soap is smelling gorgeous and you are enjoying using it! Nic
I attended both the soap making, and skin care workshops. Both were excellent, and I had a great time. I loved using the products when I got home. I also made soaps to give as gifts, which were gratefully received by family and friends.

Stephie mizzi - - #17957
Response from Boo Cottage Botanicals:Thanks Stephie for your lovely review! Glad to hear you enjoyed using the workshop and using your products, Nic
I had a fantastic time learning about and making my own soap. It was fascinating to learn about blending scents and to see the alchemy of turning the base ingredients into deliciously scented soap. Nic explained both the science and the history of soap making and then supported and guided us all in making our soap. It was great to bring home and then use my very own soap. I would recommend this workshop to anyone interested in learning a new skill that's a bit different.
Julia Randall - - #17954

I decided to get some friends and family together to do this course for my birthday. It was such a perfect choice! Great relaxed atmosphere, Ben and Nic were the perfect teachers and to go home with some amazing treats was a real bonus. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others and can’t wait for new courses next year!

I booked onto this course last minute this weekend. I can thoroughly recommend it such an informative and fun introduction to soap making. Nicola and Ben are true gems and very knowledgeable and helpful. I gained so much from this workshop had I done research at home and with books it would have taken me forever. I have the bug for it now and cannot wait to do the skincare products course, only downside I now have to wait till next year as they are very busy. Beautiful location and a homely place to learn.
Caron - - #17417

The morning we spent learning how to make soap using the cold process was incredibly interesting and also good fun. Everything was really well organised to ensure that we really could not go wrong. We had sufficient support and the information we were given was clear and very informative. Thank you Nicola and Ben for a very enjoyable morning.

Had a wonderful morning with Nic and Ben learning about soap making. They were very interesting, informative, patient and made it fun. The most difficult part was deciding on what type of soap to make but we all came away with very different and beautiful personalised products.
Nic also makes fabulous bath truffles and body butters. I thoroughly recommend this course and Boo Cottage Botanicals products.
Thank you Nic and Ben x

Time Very Well Spent...A fabulous course for absolutely anybody who has wondered how easy it would be to 'have a go' at making your own beautiful soaps. Nic and Ben are great hosts and teachers and nothing is too much trouble. The cookies and cupcakes were equally great:) And their soaps and lip balms are divine. I definitely recommend Boo Cottage Botanicals to friends and everybody who has a few hours to while away having fun being creative in a lovely location.
Jules Michaels - - #9875
We had a wonderful morning with Ben and Nicola today learning about and making our own soaps. We started with an introductory slide show explaining the 'science' of the process and quickly started to look at oils and recipes for our personalised creations. Instructions were clear, and support helpful and informative. The whole experience was more simple than we had anticipated and was great fun. We would thoroughly recommend this course to any budding soap makers.
