Description

Learn how to make artisanal luxury soap using the cold process method with our soap maker. Sonia has 15 years of experience in soap and natural skincare making. Join Sonia for the Green Elephant Skincare Manufacture's founder and soap maker for this artisan soap making workshop in Nailsea (close to Bristol) and learn how to make your own natural, skin-nourishing soap bars. As you mix and pour your ingredients, you'll feel a sense of joy and creativity that comes from making something truly unique with your own hands. You'll have access to a wide array of high-quality ingredients and essential oils, allowing you to customise your soap with delightful scents and beautiful colours. During the day (10am-2pm), you will learn how to make soap using the cold process method. Discover how to work safely with lye, how to mix your ingredients and how to incorporate aromatic essential oil blends and beautiful botanicals. By the end of the class, you'll not only have learned the secrets of soap making but also have a collection of fresh, natural soaps to take home and enjoy or gift to friends and loved ones. You will be able to make your own soap at home after this event. Recipes are all palm free and suitable for vegans. If you have any allergy we create your own recipe on the day. Your soap will need to cure for a day in the mould so we will post the soaps (UK) after we un-mould and cut them. It will continue to cure and harden for a further six weeks before you can use it. What you’ll learn: - The basics of soap chemistry (saponification process). - Safety precautions when handling lye. - How to select and use oils, butters, essential oils, and natural colourants. - Cold process or melt-and-pour soap-making methods. - Moulding, curing, and packaging your soaps.
