Description
The aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly, supportive, experimental and fun experience where you will learn a new (or revive a previous) skill and take home something you feel proud enough to frame! You will have the opportunity to create your own, individual, linocut artwork. As well as being part of a group you will also receive lots of one to one tuition to help you achieve the best outcome. Group size: 2 – 4 people. You can book as a group or as an individual. The day: • Start 09.45 for 10.00am start • 13.00 Lunch • 16.00 Finish We will start by preparing an image ready to be transferred onto lino, then you will cut your lino design. Please bring your own imagery if you have something specific in mind or select from a range starting points which will be available. You will have an opportunity to prepare and experiment with a range of surfaces and coloured papers to print your lino design onto. We usually prepare and cut in the morning and then spend the afternoon printing. The aim is that you will take home new skills you can continue at home with the minimum of equipment.

Maker
I aim to provide relaxed, friendly and fun workshops combining my experience from fashion/textiles printing and many years teaching GCSE and A level students in their Fine Art and Textile studies. It's all about exploring possibilities with colour, shape, layers, pattern and textures - which I love to do within my own work, creating a range of prints and collages on paper, fabric and cards.
