Course Start DatesWednesday 5th February 2020
About the Course
Structure of the workshop days:
The aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly, supportive, experimental and fun experience where you will learn a new (or revive a previous) skill and take home something you feel proud enough to frame!
Group size: 4 – 6 people. You can book as a group or as an individual.
• Start 09.45 for 10.00am start
• 13.00 Lunch (45 minutes)
• 16.00 Finish
We will start by preparing an image ready to be transferred onto lino, then you will cut your lino design. You will have an opportunity to prepare and experiment with a range of collaged surfaces and coloured papers to print your lino design onto. We will then spend the afternoon printing. Work may still be ‘tacky’ at going home time so it can either be sent home to you a few days later or you may wish to consider how you could transport it home – spread out in the back of the car would work.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
What you need to bring:
Please bring a packed lunch.
If you have a particular theme or image you would like to work from please bring it along – your own drawings, photographs or magazine cuttings are all good source materials – but don’t worry if you haven’t got anything – there will be imagery to choose from.
Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy and/or an apron.
What we will provide:
The workshop will take place in a light filled, open space facing out onto a garden. There will be the opportunity to work outside if weather permits.
All materials and equipment will be provided.
There will be coffee/tea and cookies available in the morning, and afternoon tea and cake. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements.
Any enquiries or to book a place please get in touch.
I had a great day with Judith. I learnt a lot in a comfortable and well equipped environment and was amazed at how much work I produced. Judith's teaching is paced and structured very well with easy to follow instructions and explanations. Highly recommended.
Ruth Blackford - - #25402
My daughter (aged 13) and I had an inspiring day with Judith. She shared her knowledge and experience with us and supported us throughout the printing process. There was plentiful supply of tea, cookies and delicious flapjack too! We have continued to create our own pieces at home - thank you, Judith. I would highly recommend this course.
Gemma Thomas - - #23938
My sister, Mum and myself took this course a few weeks ago. We were all beginners and we we absolutely loved the course. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, with the added bonus of lots of coffee and cake!
Judith put us at ease straight away and we were down to business in no time. We all managed to create some great lino prints with the help of Judith, and the relaxed atmosphere made it such an enjoyable day.
We would all highly recommend.
Sophie Botsford - - #21896
This was my first attempt at Lino Printing and I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Judith was a great teacher, providing support, instruction and a lot of inspiration for future projects. I was really happy with what I managed to produce during the session and went home confident to do more at home.
Debbie Nelson - - #21890
Judith was welcoming and gave first class instruction and support. The equipment and materials provided were great. I thoroughly recommend this workshop.
