About the Course

Develop a linocut image, either A6 or A5 in scale.

Try out professional cutting tools, experiment with mark-making. Use traditional grey lino and a new softer vinyl.

Carve the image then print in black and white on paper through a printing press as well as learning hand printing techniques. Subsequently, print over a monoprinted background, then try over printing in colour. Print several prints in the session, fabric offcuts available as well as a selection of papers. Explore some colour inking, masking and layering techniques if time allows.

Want to review this course?

Annette is a fabulous teacher and shares her knowkedge and experience very generously for every lesson. She showed us a variety of styles and we were all able to create our own projects. I learnt that lino cutting is very versatile and that its normal for a cutting to take many hours. I would throroughly and wholeheartedly recomend this course if you fancy a fun day making prints.
