"This was a birthday present for my partner and a gift to myself too! We are both trained art teachers and had taught printing in primary schools for many years, but had not done any lino printing for decades. Annette led a relaxed day, adapted to our choices and abilities, with very helpful suggestions and introduction of new skills, tools and techniques, and we were so absorbed we never even stopped for lunch. We left with two folders of about 10-12 prints each, and of course our blocks which we can use again."

I would recommend the 2 days as we learnt so much and were able to attempt more ambitious projects by day two. We were able to try so many different tools and materials, I arrived a hobbiest and left a fully fledged print addict! The beauty of this course is that it's just one or two of you with Annette’s undivided attention and knowledge, for the duration - I must have asked a thousand questions….she's very patient and good fun so you will just have the best time!"

Very hands on teaching with lots of knowledge shared from how to hold tools and mark make to different ways to ink plates, where to go for equipment, websites to visit - the list goes on. I came home with a huge amount of prints on various papers and fabrics. I would certainly repeat the experience."

"We enjoyed a very informative two days in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Having previously done a short course elsewhere, we just wanted to enhance the skills, but we learned techniques that we had never heard of and produced finished pieces that we were really proud of. It showed us that there is far more to linocut than we had previously thought. Would highly recommend and we hope to return again when we find time."

I felt immediately welcomed and so at home, designermakers21 is an absolutely fabulous place with so many artists and creators under one roof. The class runs with just 2 students so we were very well supported throughout the day and able to learn the skills of lino cutting quickly. Annette is a fabulous artist and her work is such an inspiration. Both myself and the other student were given the freedom to create exactly what we had wanted and I have come away with a selection of fantastic prints. The difficulty is choosing which to hang on my wall! We were taught a range of cutting and inking techniques and had a great time using the enormous press! I couldn't recommend the course more, or a visit to designermakers21 for that matter! Thank you so much for everything Annette!"

"I hadn’t had chance to do any Lino print making since college so when searching to find a course that was comprehensive and informal I was pleased to find this course. Annette the lady who runs the course is lovely and welcoming, with so much experience and a wealth of knowledge in print making and design I was able to discover my love of Lino printing all over again. The course is structured over two days with just two students so you are able to have one to one tutoring. Annette takes you through all of the different tools, inks fabrics, her beautiful studio is like an Aladdin’s cave full of lovely material and textiles so she encourages you to try out as many different ideas as you like. At the end of the two days you leave with your lovely creations wishing you had another two days! We were so well looked after by Annette and I and the other student left buzzing full of ideas, I cannot recommend this course enough and I fully intend on booking myself on further courses."
