Come Frame With Me - Making your own Picture Frame

Description

A fully hands-on experience where you will get to do all the work to create and frame your own art or photo. I’ll take you through the rudiments of mount selection and cutting, mounting the artwork correctly, mitring wooden mouldings, cutting glass and frame construction using the framing equipment in my workshop. I’ll supply the materials, know-how and refreshments (including a light lunch), you’ll supply the art work or photo (up to A4 size only please) and a bucket full of enthusiasm. At the end of the day you will take home your own creation, which will hang with pride of place in your home.

I started picture framing as a retirement project and because I had lots of colleagues in the military who had their own mementos, signed prints etc and wanted them framed. I find framing quite therapeutic, taking a few materials and turning them into something beautiful, something I’d have on my wall. I like keeping the amount of framing I do to an enjoyable level and, having been an instructor in the past, feel that I can help bring some of that enjoyment to others.
