Rozie (and Mary) reviewed: Fused Glass Lanterns with Crafts in the Valley

"We finally got to attend this class recently, which I'd bought as a Christmas present for my mum, after many covid-related reschedulings (which Melanie was great about). Mum and I had a wonderful day –Melanie is an excellent teacher and the class environment is really relaxing. I especially enjoyed having so much creative freedom with our designs. The resulting lanterns are gorgeous and I have been wearing the earrings I made ever since. Even the biscuits were excellent. Highly recommend and will be attending another class soon I am sure. Thanks Melanie!"

Crafts in the Valley responded:

"Thank you for the fab review! Your lanterns were especially beautiful xx"

Peter Wood reviewed: Introduction to spooncarving at Hill End

"Excellent course: the tutor, David, is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful. The course was held in beautiful surroundings, in woodland, which made for a wonderful day. As a beginner in wood carving I did not know how I would get on, but David's help and encouragement enabled me to turn a log into a spoon by the end of the day. His enthusiasm for green wood carving was not only motivating, it also meant that we learned about the history of the craft and the wider possibilities that the course can lead to. I would definitely recommend this course."

David Knight Woodland Crafts responded:

"Hi Peter Thanks so much for being such a willing and enthusiastic student! I do hope you’ll wish to invest in some tools and keep on with spoon carving and perhaps explore the wider world of green woodworking- and do let me know if you’d like to attend a follow-on session."

Mark Driscoll reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"A really enjoyable day with a very approachable and knowledgable blacksmith. Chris is an excellent tutor and made my son and I very welcome from the start. He has a very personable teaching skill and knows when to leave you alone and when to step in and help (if required) Nothing seemed too much trouble and he guided us through the day in easy to follow steps. By the end we had transformed a piece of square bar into something very intricate and something we were both very proud of. I would have no hesitation in recommending a blacksmith experience with Chris. Unleash the inner blacksmith in you and have fun with the forge, anvil and lots of hammers!"

"We had a great group of people and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Was a birthday outing for myself and my friend and the selection of candles we made was a brilliant additional present, plus I won the most tokens so got an extra present! The course was very informative but in an informal way which made it easy to understand and enjoy even the technical bits. Will be back to do the gel course at some stage."

Tracey Carr reviewed: Glass fusing private class - fun taster class for beginners

"A fabulous 2 hours of creating our own glass pieces. Sarah has great patience and provides all the knowledge you need to make some lovely pieces. Materials were limitless and even when we thought we were finished she encouraged us to make one more piece. My 3 teenage boys were engaged the whole time and learnt some new skills in cutting and using glass. Sarah was happy to work with their ideas and suggest ways to get the best outcome from the glass, introducing foil, bubbles and textures to their creations. The items were posted to us promptly so we arrived home from our holiday to find them in the postbox. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, it puts a smile on my face every time I look at our creations!"

Sarah Greening Glass responded:

"So pleased you all like your pieces - a lovely post-holiday perk! Thank you so much for such a lovely review, Sarah"

"A really enjoyable class, I had wonderful day. Anna and Lynne couldn't have been more welcoming. The class was extremely well organised and Anna has endless patience in showing everyone the different techniques.
