Rachel reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"Just come back from a four-day workshop with Jamal, so glad now that I chose this over the one day course! Jamal took us through the process, step by step with useful hints as we went along. The course had the option of working on my own project or using a premade design, and Jamal was on hand to give advice on how to develop the piece when needed. Really enjoyed the week and would recommend it for both beginners and ‘experts’."

Stained Glassic responded:

"Thanks very much!!!"

Justine Halifax reviewed: Painting with beeswax & dyes - Batik Pictures

"I attended the batik painting course with my teenage daughter and we had a fabulous time. Barbara was wonderful, very patient, very informative and very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed learning the art of batik under her expert tuition and we would love to return to do other courses with her, including her alcohol inks course. I would highly recommend Barbara's courses."

Feltworld - Creative Arts responded:

"Thank you for the fabulous review Justine, I am so pleased that you and Milly enjoyed your day and created such lovely batik paintings. I will look forward to teaching you alcohol inks in the future :-) ."

Darren reviewed: Log to Stool with Gedwood

"We did this in July 2021. Ged rearranged the date to accommodate us (due to the pandemic). Making the stool from scratch was really eye opening to the efforts craftspeople made before machines took over. He’s was very informative but gave us space and time to develop our stool at our own pace."

Celia reviewed: Log to Stool with Gedwood

"Great fun making a stool. Ged was great explaining and demonstrating each stage before letting us do ours. It was nice having the freedom to experiment and make our stools but also knowing Ged was there to help if we needed him. All of the tools we used were authentic and in great condition. Great fun with a final product to be proud of."

Gillian Day reviewed: One-to-one 3 day lampshade making masterclass including business startup guide for crafters

"I loved my 3 day lampshade making course with Moji, it was wonderful to be taught by such a professional with such patience and talent, sitting in her beautiful studio, surrounded by craft and being given a delicious lunch each day, it all made a very enjoyable and creative experience. I am thrilled with my 3 lampshades, all very different in style and technique, hard work but so satisfying and I can’t wait to get down to making some at home, following all the notes and photos that Moji has provided. With best wishes"

Moji Designs responded:

"Dear Gill, Thank you so much for you kind words. I feel so privileged to have met you and had the opportunity to teach you this amazing craft and I really enjoyed spending time with you. You created 3 beautiful lampshades so very well done for all your hard work! I am looking forward to seeing your future projects and please don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any questions. Take care and be safe! Lots of love Moji x"

FRed reviewed: Blacksmithing - one to one - Hammer Skills

"Bob was really friendly and a good teacher. He showed me how to do all the basics, and was really skilled himself. It was a great day and I want to book another session to improve my skills. Bob helped me make a toasting fork, with a curled handle, and a twist - and also he helped me add detail of a leaf. It was a really great thing to do. Thanks Bob!"

Claire reviewed: 1-to-1 Organic Skincare Workshop at Maid in the Meadow

"Allison is generous with her vast knowledge, (which somehow she distilled into informative bite size chunks),....her time and her friendship. She goes above and beyond to make the day special for you, even staying in touch to help you get even more from the day. The products she helps you to make are really lovely, feeling all the more special for having made them. If Allison sold a starter kit, I would have definitely bought it from her, although she provides all her trusted suppliers......you everything you need to know to get started. Thank you for a wonderful day and the knowledge to make some great skincare products."

Maid in the Meadow responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Claire. I’m so glad you enjoyed your day in the workshop and love the products you made. It was a fun day! A starter kit is a great idea and i will definitely consider your idea going forward. Best wishes, Allison"

J Denham reviewed: Chair Making Courses

"I bought my husband this course as a gift. He described it as one of the best and nicest he's ever had. Whilst he was away I hardly heard from him. He so enjoyed being tucked away in the woodland, communing with nature, working with traditional tools and techniques. It sounded almost zen like -leaving the mad modern world to concentrate on creating the chair. And what a chair it is! Beautiful and so comfortable. I have requested 5 more!! Danny was great to deal with to arrange the course. Matt described him as friendly, a superb teacher and he learned a lot over the week. Definitely worth booking and I've already recommended to everyone who admires and sits in the chair!"

Naomi Mackenzie reviewed: Woodwork Beginners workshop

"This one day course was excellent for a beginner. We were given basic information around techniques such as how to use a saw, sandpaper and power drill and screwdriver. There was a project to complete using these skills which took most of the day. Advice and help were on hand not only from the organiser, Sue, but also from 2 previous attendees who were now very proficient themselves. All materials were supplied and it was value for money in a lovely setting deep in the countryside. I would recommend it for anyone at any age. Sue is an excellent and patient teacher and has inspired me to try small projects of my own."

Tuffett responded:

"Thank you Naomi. Glad you enjoyed the day and well done for making a lovely planter, with a mitred top!! Advanced stuff!!"

Judy reviewed: One-to-One Private workshop

"I have just completed the Fused Glass course and found the whole experience a delight. Gigha was an excellent tutor - patient, clear in her instructions and advice, keen to pass on her expertise and enthusiasm, and happy to provide plenty of design ideas. The variety of glass and embellishments available to students was exceptional, with none of the "rationing" I have experienced elsewhere. The environment was safe, with current H&S requirements well thought-out. Lunch and endless refreshments were well catered for. I've already booked another course, and intend to do them all!"

Amanda Beardall reviewed: Fused glass items at Bonds with Helen from The Butterfly Effect Studio

"I have attended several of Helen's craft days and always have a wonderful time. Being creative in such a supportive environment is so relaxing and to learn a new craft/skill is always exciting too.
