Description

Join artist, teacher and maker Liz Wellby at The Slipper Studio, for a relaxing and creative day, creating tiny wire sculptures. Wild birds have such personalities and characteristics and are a lovely thing to capture using a combination of paper, metal and wire. The workshop is suitable for a range of abilities. Liz will host the workshop at her home studio. The venue is beautifully presented, with handcrafted workbenches and a wood burner, with views down into the village. About the tutor: Liz Wellby is a versatile and experienced artist, teacher and maker, with a particular interest in sculpture and printmaking. Following the completion of a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough University and subsequent post graduate studies, she returned to Derbyshire, where for over 25 years she lived and worked. Liz now lives in a small village on the edge of the Peak District, working from her studio, kept company by her husband and a cat called Bert. It is possible to arrange this workshop on different dates; should you wish to book 3 - 5 places for friends and family, the cost is £95 per person or £135 each for 2 people; please contact me via ‘message the tutor’, if this is of interest.

What's included in the price?

Tuition, materials and use of equipment, with refreshments provided throughout the day, £95 each, for a maximum of 5 people - just bring your lunch. As COVID and some virulent bugs are still around, it seems appropriate to maintain a number of sensible measures at The Slipper Studio: the studio will be well ventilated and hand sanitiser will be available.
