Description

Come and join our friendly weekly glass fusing evening classes in our light and airy Chilham studio on Tuesdays from 6.45pm to 9.45pm. We’re continuing to socially distance, so the class is currently limited to four people & face coverings would be preferred please. We welcome everyone, from complete beginners to people making complex fused glass splashbacks, & anywhere in between. You can explore countless techniques within fused glass. We offer a suggested list of topics but you’re free to do your own thing if you prefer. Glass is available to buy from us or you can bring your own Bullseye glass; we’ll provide beginners with some free glass for their first session. Equipment is provided in our well equipped teaching studio & fusing is only charged for when you want it. Our kiln schedules are optimised for Bullseye fusing glass, though we do a little work with float glass too. Classes are pretty flexible. If you can’t make a session, give us at least a week’s notice and you won’t be charged for it. (You won’t get that in Adult Education weekly glass fusing evening classes!) Classes are £30 each for blocks of six or more; ask us about the discount for blocks of ten classes. There’s free parking on site, well maintained equipment and free tea, coffee and biscuits (including some of the best freshly ground decaf. coffee that money can buy). What more could you ask for? You can book a series of six classes via the craftcourses.com website, subject to spaces being available. If you’d like more spaces than are showing, please contact us to check availability.

Maker

I'd been working with glass for over 30 years before starting to teach glass art in 2014. I've exhibited with the Contemporary Glass Society and at the International Festival of Glass as well as taking part in masterclasses in glass fusing and glass casting. There are few things I love more than sharing my passion for glass art with other people, whether complete beginners or people with years of experience under their belts. Come, try a course and see if you love it as much as I do! If you'd like to book more places than are shown on the site, please get in touch. Not all availability is shown on here, as I also take bookings through my own website. So there might be room for a larger group. Mattt
