Description

Enjoy a pampering day learning a new craft, creating whatever you wish. This full day course is suitable for all abilities to introduce or continue your experience with the exciting medium of fusing glass. Breakfast, lunch, cake, drinks and all glass materials are included in the cost. Kim and Sharon welcome you to their beautiful garden studio. You are assured personal attention to inspire and encourage your artistic side, with guidance and information on completing your pieces. Fused Glass is glass that has been fired in a kiln at high temperatures. Glass fusing methods involve stacking or layering thin sheets, rods and powders of glass, often using different colours to create patterns or images. The stack is then placed inside the kiln and fired until the separate pieces begin to bond together. The glass fuses into gloriously coloured organic shapes which are always unique, these can then be crafted into anything from jewellery to wall art. The courses run on selected dates throughout the year.
