"A most enjoyable day, more than ‘just’ a days course. A real pamper day, from the moment I arrived to the moment I said goodbye. A super welcome, delicious food and patience, inspiration, artistic knowledge. Clean, warm and a super home and studio. Money well spent, I would recommend this course to anyone. I collected my pieces today and was thrilled how well they came out, thank you Kim and Sharon 😃"

"We weren't quite sure what glass fusing was but we had an absolutely brilliant day. Kim and Sharon were not only our teachers but fantastic hosts too. We learnt the basics of glass fusing and were able to do whatever project we wanted plus much more as time allowed. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea were all included in the price. Thank you. Sx"

"Thank you SO much to Sharon and Kim for introducing me to this amazing craft. I loved it so much that I have been on a second course (4 weeks after the first one). The day is all geared towards learning and being looked after. From the amazing bacon butties and pastries for breakfast, to the teaching of basic techniques and help when needed, lots of encouragement, delicious lunch and afternoon tea. I came away feeling really positive and with a sense of achievement that I had created a unique piece of art work which now has pride on place in my window. On my second course with my daughter, I made some Christmas tree decorations and a couple of cabuchons. Helen made some Harry Potter inspired coasters: Slytherin Snake and a Hufflepuff badger. At all stages of the day, Kim and Sharon provided help and guidance in their specially built studio. I am sure these wonderful ladies will be seeing me again on an annual basis!!"

"I have just had an amazing time on a fused glass taster day and can't recommend it enough. Right from the start of the day we were given a warm welcome by Kim and Sharon and treated to a lovely breakfast. They gave us a comprehensive guide to how to work with the glass and were on hand throughout the day giving advice and tips to get the best out of the projects that we were working on. Lunch was also a really welcome treat, as was the tasty victoria sponge cake made with real raspberries at the end of the day. Well worth the money and I so look forward to seeing my creations once they have been fired. Thank you so much."

"I've just completed my first course with Kim and Sharon, and sincerely hope it won't be the last! What a fabulous day we had - great tuition, fun company and lovely refreshments. The whole day was relaxing and much more productive than I was expecting - I managed to make a variety of items including a platter, coasters, necklaces and a large window hanger. I can't wait to pick up the finished products next week. Kim and Sharon were patient and encouraging throughout the day and very generous with the materials (no extra charge for the glass). I'd thoroughly recommend this course as a good fun day out that is also very good value. I'll be back!!!"

"I booked this course for my friends birthday because I thought it sounded a bit different. She was a little bit nervous because she had never used glass before but also excited. We were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived . What lovely ladies nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious, the expertise and knowledge made us feel at ease with what we were doing. We are planning a yearly (if not more) visit. What a great day . Fran and Sandi"

"Just been on the glass fusion course with Kim and Sharon and had a fab day. They were very patient and helpful and explained everything so well you couldn't fail to produce something great at the end of the day, even for someone like myself with very little artistic capability. They were very hospitable as well and gave us fabulous food and cake! I can't wait to see the end results once they have been fired in the kiln. I think their own enthusiasm for their craft came over in the day and shone through which was what made it so enjoyable as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course to anyone, even if you just wanted to try something different for the day. Highly Recommended. Kathryn"

"I have just been on The Hot Fusion Glass course today. What an amazing day we had, thanks to Kim and Sharon. We had a very warm welcome, a lovely breakfast, lunch and yummy cake with our tea at the end of the day. The day was great fun but at the same time we learnt a lot. The girls are very talented and really happy to share their extensive knowledge with us all. We laughed a lot, mainly at my "masterpiece", a wacky cat, modelled on my own cat but with a twist!! I can't wait to see it once it has been fired by Sharon, she is under orders not to drop it!! The other girls made really lovely creations, beach huts, coasters, and jewellery. I would thoroughly recommend this course, it is a fun pamper day which would appeal to both men and women."

Fused Glass Taster Course reviewed: Full day fused glass course

"I have been on several day courses - eg. cookery, mosaics, quilting, but this was THE BEST. A warm welcome from Sharon and Kim and a delicious breakfast with fresh coffee was followed by a brief session on how to cut glass then myself and my fellow pupil were left to start creating! Sharon and Kim guided us through the morning offering friendly, helpful advice and we then had a break for a supurb lunch with a glass of wine. Then on to the afternoon session where we continued with our masterpieces, being encouraged to fill every space available on our allocated trays for the kiln by making small pendants and cufflinks. I cannot recommend this course enough - do go!!! Angie - October 2014"

"What a lovely day! I've no previous experience in fused glass but it sounded interesting - all I can say is I am really glad I gave it a try! Kim and Sharon are so passionate about it and backed with their extensive knowledge and ability to encourage and motivate I now can't wait to see my finished creation after it has been fired! The hospitality was wonderful with a lovely breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea so definitely planning a return visit!"

"My taster day was a surprise birthday present and I can honestly say it was the best pressie ever. My sister and I had were dying to be introduced to glass fusing and we were not disappointed. We spent a fantastic day playing with all different types of glass and techniques. Kim and Sharon were by our sides with constant advice and guidance and they made the day informative and great fun. We had total freedom in what we made and in our choice of glass which was nice. The day whizzed past and I came away having made a photo frame, small dish, two coasters and four earrings. Kim and Sharon made it a very special day for us. Their tuition, company, home cooked food and hospitality made for a really good learning but pampering day. We would truly recommend signing up to a taster day with Kim and Sharon."

"What a great course! Kim & Sharon are excellent tutors, friendly and patient. We were shown the basics about glass cutting & fusing before being let loose to create our own designs. Kim & Sharon were on hand to assist & advise at all times and it was good to be allowed freedom to create whatever we wanted with no restriction on the glass resources. There was lots of time to create our items and I made far more than I expected to be able to. We were treated to delicious pastries & bacon rolls on arrival, risotto for lunch and mince pies & cream before we left, with lots of juice, coffee & wine throughout the day. Kim's hospitality is second to none! I would love to have another go at this course one day and now I know how it works I will be prepared to have ideas about what I would like to make before the day, so I do not waste too much time 'thinking' instead of 'doing'. This course is great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys being creative."

"We had the best day, starting with a lovely bacon roll and coffee. We then were shown how to cut the glass and layer it without cutting our fingers off!! I must have made about 10 different things, ranging from a coaster to a snowman to hang on the Christmas tree. We were then made a lovely lunch, followed by more fusing. We then ended the day with a mince pie and coffee,i have to say the day just flew by. top marks :)"

Rosemarie Eastham reviewed: Full day fused glass course

"Having been a fan of Hot Fusion Glass I was delighted to find out that they now run classes. My expectation was simple: to enjoy a day 'playing' around with coloured glass. An intimate class of three eager students supported by two equally enthusiastic tutors began with a delightful breakfast/get to know you session. I came away feeling both pampered (refreshments were fabulous) and amazed at what I had achieved (with help!). My creations include earrings which will be gifts and a unique item which I hope will delight the recipients. Thank you both so very much for making this a special day. If you'll have me, I'd do it again!!"
