TASTER WORKSHOPS
A fun hour to throw at the wheel taught by a fully post graduate trained teacher and thrower of 30 years in Woodsetton in the West Midlands.
Our Victorian workshops have six wheels spaced in four rooms each with its own access from outdoors to achieve safe social distancing for individuals, household groups and bubbles. You won’t meet anyone on your visit except the potter, please ask for a copy of our Covid protocols.
A fun hour of throwing and you can take your favourite pot home with you free of charge on the day, along with instructions on how to preserve and paint your pot or have a go at “pit firing” it at home. Or you can opt to have your pot fired in our potters kilns to make it useable, dishwasher, microwave and oven proof. This is a lengthy process of expertly finishing, drying, turning, bisque firing, glazing and then further firing your creation, so a charge of £5 per pot is made for this service and you’ll collect your pot that will then last forever about two to four weeks later (depending on season)
Also take time to visit our gallery and pottery materials shop if you’d like to pursue this ancient craft further.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Maximum booking is 6 adults/children on 6 separate wheels.
Minimum hour booking fee is £30 So:
~ Two children at £15 each with adult watching.
~ Or child at £15 and full paying adult joining £30 (see separate listing or 1902883429 if you’re unsure)

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
