Hello, I'm Sharon a self taught ceramic sculptor & clay artist. I first fell in love with ceramics at school and after a long career in nursing & nurse management went back to clay!
I have lots of teaching experience and I love that I have now brought this into the wonderful world of clay. Along with my own tutorials and classes, I'm also a Guest instructor for clayshare.com
Sculpting comes naturally to me and I have developed my skills & techniques over the last few years, and have a genuine passion for sharing this knowledge with others, along with all the tips and tricks I've learned along the way.
From my home studio you will Join me in making an Animal of your choice in clay. The session lasts around 3 hours, there is no rush and I work at your pace throughout the session. You will learn how to shape, mould and sculpt clay by hand, making fabulous memories & a clay creation to treasure.
During this class I regularly make Foxes, Hares, Highland cows, Pigs & Donkeys to name a few. I have lots of examples to choose from or you may have your own ideas on what you wish to make.
Once you've created your master piece it stays with us for firing & finishing with an oxide wash. Collection is 3-4 weeks later. You are also welcome to take the item home to air dry, should you wish. Alternately as an optional extra, you may wish a return visit to glaze your item in coloured underglazes £12.50.
