Book in for a 3 hour beginners session which will introduce you to the art of glass fusion in a relaxed, friendly group.
In this taster workshop, we will look at the different kinds of glass used in glass fusion then move on to design and make your own piece of fused glass.
You will learn how to cut and assemble your glass pieces then leave them to be fired in the kiln. You will need to return a few days later to collect your pieces of work - or they can be posted to you at additional cost (please let me know if you think you may need this option when booking so I can let you know more details about P&P).
You can expect to make the equivalent of two coaster-sized pieces of fused glass - but you don't have to keep to coaster size and/or shape! You can work with your glass to make one bigger piece or a few small pieces.
There are restrictions on maximum size due to the size of the kiln which I use for firing so your large pieces will need to be 15cm x 15cm or less - you'll be fully advised at the workshop.
You can work from your own ideas and designs, or you can use my ideas for inspiration, or follow my step by step guides if you prefer.
Maximum number on workshop is 4 people (adults only please)
Hot and cold drinks are included throughout the session. Please bring your own travel mug or similar.
Buying as a gift or for a special occasion? Please contact us as we would love to share the occasion with you.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Tuition, glass for two coaster size pieces of fused glass (or equivalent for more smaller pieces or 1 large piece), use of all tools needed to complete your pieces, firing in the kiln, and collection (P&P extra by arrangement only).
Hot and cold drinks are provided throughout the session.

This was such a relaxed, friendly and informative start to glass fusion. Sally was incredibly accommodating of all our ideas. The time flew as we worked away while conversation meandered from glass topics to all manner of things. We both came away feeling refreshed having done something creative and encouraged to make this time a more regular thing. As for the current restrictions Sally made sure that all precautions were adhered to without it impacting the fun of the workshop. Thank you so much !!
Response from Craft Workshops:Thank you for your lovely review - much appreciated. Look forward to seeing you both again in the workshop :) Sally
What a lovely morning! Relaxed, informative and fun. Sally is so knowledgeable and very funny, really positive and encouraging too so that nobody felt left behind. My only complaint is that it went by so fast, I was sad when it was over! Looking forward to coming again. Thank you, Sally.

I absolutely loved this, I have done glass fusion before but, still brilliant.
Sally's great. I think she's going to have to put up with the fact that i will be a regular at her glasses. Not just glass fusion either.

Had a fantastic morning with Sally who introduced me to glass fusing and other glass work ideas - she has the patience of a saint and I'm recommending her. We had such a good time - the fastest three hours I've ever spent. Looking forward to getting my pieces back. I've booked further sessions as it was such a rewarding experience.
Response from Craft Workshops:Thank you for your review Diane - and I am very much looking forward to seeing you again at the other workshops which you have booked :)
What a great workshop! A very chilled out morning spent learning a new craft - so good to be out again after being in Lockdown for months! All sensible social distancing and hygiene precautions were in place and Sally had even gone to the trouble of making a transparent face mask for herself so I could lipread what she was saying....thank you! Sally is a fab teacher and made the workshop great fun; I can't wait to see the final results of my efforts and I'm looking forward to the candle making course in 2 weeks time!
Response from Craft Workshops:Thank you Heather - it was lovely to have you along for the first Workshop back! Really enjoyed the morning and your glass fusion pieces are going to be great. Look forward to seeing you again very soon :)
I had a lovely time on this course. Sally was so respectful and diligent in following covid precautions so that anyone feeling wary need not worry at all. I'm thrilled with the pieces I made and can't wait to see them fired. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop, lots of fun and Sally explained everything so it seemed easy. Would definitely book again.
